  1. Update: the system started to cycle while booting into windows, windows was reinstalled with no issues however as soon as the system grabbed the video driver the system cycled with a black screen. On for roughly 1 second then black screen for roughly 5 seconds. system unresponsive but did not reboot. We removed the power supply and gpu and tryed the gpu in another system (windows 10) same behavior on the other pc, once graphics drivers installed video output would cycle with black screen and system is unresponsive.
  2. Update: was looking around in the power plan settings (nothing changed) and it rebooted NO Bluescreen
  3. The video output will freeze for arround a minute then it will bluescreen with code: DPC Watchdog Violation.
  4. Is this a newly built system? What are your CPU temperatures? You can you a program like HWInfo or HWmonitor to see.
  5. Posting on behalf of a friend. Just built a new system 7800x3d Msi 4090 850w corsair psu Asus b650-a But it crashes under sustained gpu loads. The crash has been successfully reproduced using heaven benchmark and typically happens between the 8 and 15 minute markers. * Using hwinfo I can see no indication of high temperatures cpu is below 80 c under stress with cpu-z and gpu below 70 c while in heaven benchmark. *Inserting an old gpu (1070) yielded no crash after 20 minutes. *All psu connections have been removed and reconnected. *Fast boot disabled *ram removed and shifted to alternate a2 and b2 slots Calling out to any ideas or recommendations on what to test next or any possible solutions to this strange issue.
  6. What exactly is the issue? Is it not being detected, No video output, Crashing.
  7. Around 450-500 Canadian Dollars seams to be the range at the moment, again still keep in mind the market is becoming a little flooded with cards at the moment for the recent nvidia launch.
  8. are there any other antivirus or old Bitdefender version installed on your pc? sometimes the system might not allow for more than one third-party antivirus at the time. You could also try to disable Windows Defender or unblock Bitdefender installer.
  9. Well this all kind of depends. There are quite a few different factors at play in this situation which include but is not limited to... Ambient room temperature, model of cpu (some chip sets are know to be a bit more toasty then others), what your cooler is (stock aio etc.), weather there is some form of OC, and even your cpu fan curve (fans might be running at a low rpm until a certain temp)... so on and so forth BUT as long as its not thermal throttling under load all is good.
  10. Replug all you connections if you havent already just in case there is a loose one causing all this troubble. If it still persists I would like to rule out the Psu possibly being DOA, use you old power supply and plug in all the connections and power on the system. This will confirm or rule out psu being the problem.
  11. I would suggest having both tops as exhaust and just running them at a slightly lower speed, With the intakes possibly slightly higher if your after a positive pressure. Edit: typo
  12. This has been quite a thing for years and it could be one of a few different things. You might want to try to disable Superfetch and or Windows search service as these are the things that solved this exact same issue on my old laptop in the past.
  13. Ram may prevent full boot, hanging on a blank screen. If not try a different io port on the gpu.
  14. Kind of forgot about the post but here was our solution. We found an old spare drive i had lying around and moved files over to that hdd until we got under the capacity of the ssd. We then cloned the 'new' hdd over to the ssd, then moved the files from the 'old' hdd back over to the newer hdd. Was quite a time indeed and there might have been a better way but it worked now loading times and boot times are very satisfying.
