  12. Hi guys I have been experiencing GPU issues for a while now and i am looking for a solution My PC specs are: CPU : i7 4770 (non-k) CPU Cooler : H80i V2 GPU : EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0 RAM : HyperX (2*4GB) Kit ( HX318C10FBK2/8 ) PSU : RealPower ECO Silent Series 500W Motherboard : MSI Z87-G45 Storage : 1TB HDD and 2TB HDD Case : Antec GX505 Window Case fans : 2 rear( H80i V2 ) , 2 on top and 2 in front My issues are in form of crashes, to be exact : gray-ish or orange-ish crashes When a crash occurs the PC locks up with my monitor being gray-ish or orange-ish and I am forced to restart it The keyboard can work for 5 secs max ( "numlock" can turn the light on/off) and then even that locks up Sometimes the reset button does not do anything ! The crashes happen in GPU intensive games when something sudden happens and then *bam* crash So far it crashes is GTA V (rarely) , Dark Souls 3 (sometimes) and Rise of the Tomb Raider (always(cant even start playing)) I have tried swapping drivers , fiddled around in MSI afterburner and nothing helps FurMark testing goes without problem (no crashes) with GPU temps never over 75 ) I have blamed my GPU drivers for a while but now I think that the power supply is the culprit My previous PC was a Q9550 on air cooling and gtx 760 3gb OEM but the power supply is the same one The GPU needs two 6-pin connectors The PSU has one 6+2 pin connector directly plugged in to the GPU but the other 6-pin is molex-to-6pin and is shared with 4 fans and fan controller Also the PSU can deliver(according to sticker) only 33 Amps compared to the 42 required !!! (My old GPU only needed 30 Amps) But then when i play Ashes of the Singularity GPU is 100% load and no crash ? Im really tired of troubleshooting and could use some help If my PSU is really the problem i will GLADLY get rid of it Regards
