Greetings to everyone, I am new to PC build.I wish to build Desktop PC, for my use. I mostly do some light work on CAD softwares like Solidworks, Catia etc,and wish to play some games such as GTA V, Farcry primal at 900p. I want my build to be futureproof i.e Do some CAD work and Play games at Medium graphics for at least next 6 years. After some basic analysis i thought to go for AMD 3400G. My query is should i go for AMD 3400G APU or wait for 4000 series desktop APU.I appreciate all insights and suggestions on this. Thanks and Best regards.

I am from India. No budget idea as i am giving my required specifications to the company which I work in.But i know the usage it will range from Mid - High resolution graphics. I have to give them such a specification that also serves my purpose and doesn't burn hole in their pocket (which they expect). Kindly give me an idea on Budget range for (Medium - high graphics) and Specifications for Workstation which involves 1.lot of curves, points and CAD features.(Catia). 2.discretization and analysis work(ansys etc).

Hello, I am Mechanical Design Engineer working on Softwares like Solidworks,Catia and Ansys. My current pc specification is not suitable for CAD.S o iam planning to upgrade to workstation grade. Planned minimum specification: 1.cpu - ryzen 5 1600x 2.gpu - quadro p620 or p600. 1.I am in doubt that the above configuration will be enough for CAD use or not? 2.Also should i give preference to GPU and RAM more than CPU? 3.If added Will SSD be meaningful for my workstation? Best regards, Shriram
