    You could go with a 9900k, but I still think the price for it is outrageous.

    The AM4 socket for the cpu won't be dying off any time soon, so upgradability is totally viable if you would need to in short run.
    1080ti is a fine choice, but unless you buy used you'll be paying a low supply/high demand price.
