  1. In my country the price between these two variants is just the same. So I chose the purple one. Did I make a bad choice?
  2. I chose it because it is designed to use 24/7, where the Blue variant is designed to use 7-8 hours a day (I've read it somewhere). Moreover, in my country the price between these two variants is just the same. So I chose the purple one. Did I make a bad choice?
  3. Hello, I just bought a WD 2TB Purple hard drive. Model number: WD20PURX Upon searching, I just found that it is an old model and there is a newer version available in the market. So is it safe to use this old model? It is somewhat difficult for me to go back to the shop and exchange it with the newer version. Is returning and replacing it with the newer version will worth the hassle? Purpose of this drive: I am going to use this drive on a regular desktop computer. I use the computer almost 15-16 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have a separate SSD for my C drive. Thanks in advance
  4. Hello, I have a very very old Intel desktop pc. I have my Windows 10 installed in a dedicated 128GB SATA III SSD. I just ordered a new Ryzen 1600, a B350 motherboard and a RAM. I intend to use my previous SSD to run Windows. Now my question is, as I'm moving towards a completely different system, from Intel to AMD, do I have to re-install my Windows and other softwares? Please also suggest me to do this the right way. Thanks.
  5. Okay. One more thing to ask, just for a future reference. If I buy another stick of RAM (different SKU, same speed/latency), from Corsair for example, and pair up with the said TridentZ RAM, will this be okay? I know that it won't run in Dual channel mode but would it reduce the performance loss of using single stick RAM?
  6. What about video editing works? On Adobe Premiere for example. And After Effects. I intend to edit videos regularly on Adobe products. But I cannot afford higher platforms (x299, x399).
  7. Hello, Because of the current memory pricing, I recently bought 1 stick RAM of https://www.google.com/search?q=F4-3200C16D-32GTZ I'll be buying an i7 8700K platform in the next two months. Will this be a problem if I install this single stick RAM? Will I be able to overclock it to the full 3200MHz? I know it is not recommended but if I buy another single RAM stick from this , and pair up with the upper one, will it run in Dual Channel mode? And yes, we can buy single stick RAMs in my country. Thanks in advance.
  8. Just so you know, Adobe products love NVidia graphics cards. Specially if you use After Effects, NVidia's CUDA architecture will help a lot. So at this budget for a graphics card, I would choose a GTX 1080TI and save a few bucks to spend them to increase RAM size. You don't really need that much RAM speed. A 3200MHz or 3600MHz would be enough. I recommend at least 64GB RAM for your editing rig.
  9. Here is a list I've built for you. I understand that you prefer Intel but at $1000 price, you can get 16C/32T in AMD processor instead of 10C/20T. The extra cores will help you a lot in the future. And Ryzen platform is being optimized day by day. CPU: AMD - Threadripper 1950X 3.4GHz 16-Core Processor ($999.99 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Floe AIO Riing RGB 360 TT Premium Edition ($199.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock - X399 Taichi ATX TR4 Motherboard ($333.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LED 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($647.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($234.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Corsair - AX1500i 1500W 80+ Titanium Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($429.99 @ Amazon) Total: $2840.37
  10. Hello, I'm going to build a Ryzen 1700 PC very soon. I'm planning to overclock it to around 3.9 GHz 24/7. I have two options for the motherboard. B350: Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 [Newegg] X370: ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 [Newegg] I want to make the build less costly. So I prefer the B350 board I mentioned. My question is, can it take the load of overclocking? Or should spend some more money and go for the x370 motherboard I mentioned below? Which one is do you suggest in terms of VRM, Memory compatibility, and price/performance? Also, should I look for an after market cooler over the stock cooler? [Please don't suggest any other board because I only have these two options.]
  11. Hi, I just want to know when they will be available to buy. Is it worth to wait for Ryzen Pro? Wikipedia says they are released on June 29. http://www.amd.com/en/ryzen-pro
  12. Thank you everyone. I just solved our case. Zotac 1050 Ti doesn't need additional power.
  13. Thank you for all the info. I know I've read somewhere that the non-Ti version 1050 doesn't need power from the PSU directly and only the 1050 Ti and higher GPUs need power from the PSU. Can you please confirm if that is a correct information?
  14. What do you mean by "no performance difference"? Please explain further.
