i got myself a tube and replaced my previous generic paste with the new Kryonaut.
been getting some improvements, obviously.
went down from 50c idle to around 35c with an additional 10mv undervolt; totalling 110mv undervolt.
seems good so far, just as you've described.
i think im on day 4 right now.
i'll be sure to check up with temps and performance to see if there are any degradation as you've described.
