  1. Recently, pfSense decided to update their logo so that it is more like their parent company Netgate. I am not really a fan of it, and I wanted to get some pfSense stickers with the old logo on it. I was wondering if anybody knows where I can find some pfSense stickers with the old logo on it.
  2. I have one, and my mother says that it is too big for her desk, do you have any recommendations for a tenkeyless CheeeyMX blue and MX Brown/Black with the Tenkey number pad?
  3. Hello, So I am planning on buying both of my parents mechanical keyboards for Christmas. I know that my Mom really like Cherry MX Blues and my father likes both CherryMX Browns and Blacks. I want to try and buy them the same brand so that they don't think one is better than the other. I was wondering if you guys know any company that sells both MX Blues and MX Blacks with the same model of keyboard. I would prefer for the switches to be Genuine CherryMX and not cheap knock-offs. I would also like for the keyboards to be under $140 each. Thanks for any suggestions!
  4. From all of the information that I know, The New series of Noctua fans are going to come out in ~2 months so I would imagine the special chromax edition fans would come out at around the same time as the brand new fans.
  5. So recently I learned about the existence of Peltier Plate which use a thermal electric cooler to have a cold side and a hot side. I was wondering if anyone has any experience or tips on using a Peltier Cooler to cool a CPU. I have looked on YouTube and all of the people are using the basic TEC1-12706 which only has 60W of heat dissipation and they all complain that it doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone here knows if the TEC1-12715 would work fine to cool down a modern intel CPU?
  6. I know this hardware is a bit older, but I wasn't really paying attention when the G3258 was announced and don't know all the details. I just want to know if you are able to overclock the Pentium G3258 on an H81 Motherboard or more specifically the MSI H81M-P33. I just ordered a combo on eBay and want to know if I can overclock or not or if I need a certain BIOS or anything. Thanks!
  7. So I am looking to upgrade my computer in terms of its silence. I am looking at getting a new CPU Cooler. I am looking between the Cryorig H7 with a Noctua NF-F12 and the Noctua NH-U12s. I want your opinion on what you think would be better. Also, one thing to note is that I have the corsair 100R as my case and it says that it supports only 150mm tall heatsinks, but I am using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo with a height of 159mm and it seems to fit just fine, so I would imagine that the Noctua NH-U12s would also fit fine. Let me know your opinions. Thanks!
  8. Yeah, but apparently it is known that the 4th generation unlocked processors have so much variation between the chips, but fortunately intel has become more strict on binning processors that go into the "K" skew of processors so that everyone can at least get a decent overclock.
  9. 4.4 Is the highest I could go at 1.35 v. However, I got 4.4 to run perfectly stable at 1.22 v
  10. So a few years ago I bought the i7-4790k thinking that it would be great, and I would get the best overclock ever out of the chip. However, when I first built the computer, I was so new to computer building and didn't want to mess around with CPU overclock and instead just clicked the OC Genie button in my motherboard's BIOS/UEFI. I noticed that the farthest that the BIOS determined as a safe overclock was 4.4 GHz which is the turbo frequency of the 4790k. I was fine with this for quite a while until several months ago when I wanted to try and get more out of my CPU. So I started to do some manual overclocks and the farthest that I was able to push it was 4.4 GHZ. It kind of worked at 4.5 GHz but had some odd things that would happen, and was quite as stable as I would want it to be. So basically I lost the Silicon lottery, and the highest overclock my 4790k gets is it turbo boost frequency. The funny thing is that an old CPU on LGA 775 which is the E6700 overclocks to 4.0 GHz just fine which I thought was funny because I lost the lottery on my main computer, but one that I almost never use won the silicon lottery.
  11. I would suggest resetting the BIOS if you can find a way to do that if that doesn't work then maybe monitor your temps the next time that you are playing games and see if the CPU is overheating. I am not sure why a PSU Swap would do something like this. If nothing else works, I would suggest going through the RMA Process for your PSU since it could be defective.
  12. So currently I have the Comcast Tripple play service and am using the provided Arris Modem that has RJ45 and RJ11 ports on the back. I was wondering if I can use a separate modem strictly for the internet, and still have the other modem connected with just the phone plugged in. I have the current modem set to bridge mode so it does not get a DHCP IP from Comcast unless a router is connected. If any more details are needed please let me know.
  13. Currently, I am running an OpenVPN Server for a few people, and plan to expand it into a small business. The problem that I am having is that I email the clients their .ovpn client file which is an autologin profile. I was wondering if I can set it so that only 1 device can be connected concurrently to each profile, and if so how do I accomplish this. If any more information is needed, please let me know.
  14. I am not interested in saving on the initial investment. I am looking into the long term investment of the device.
