  16. I have a 250mbps internet connection. i recently ran cat 6 from the router to my computer room. cable goes into a gigabit switch that then has a cat 6 cable to my computer. problem is my computer is still only getting 100mbps. windows is saying its a 100/100 connection. However if i unlug the cable from the computer and plug it into my laptop it gets 250mbps. i know my computer has gigabit ethernet but it just doesnt seem to be working. Anyone got any ideas that i could try. I have tried restarts, changing the cable, switching ports on my switch and computer.
