ImNotThere got a reaction from Hilfen088 in Need networking experience
From experience, juniper is much more widely used(ref EU backbone network ran by GEANT) with cisco almost exclusively used for terminal servers and switches

Perhaps better advice would be to get familiar with cisco and juniper syntax, or even better yet, look into hiring companies and see what they use

Learn junos syntax more than cisco, no. 1 piece of advice!

Yeah they are worth the 200 as I'm sure they'll last a long time and battery degradation isn't a problem like most headsets

80 c is 20 below thermal max for your gpu, dont worry about it, if it gets up to 90, thats an issue

4 years + crucial security patches for a few more is actually above average support.

Personally what I would do in your scenario is split the budget between a desktop with more horsepower and a cheaper 2 in 1 with a pen, this then meets your productivity needs for the laptop and also the functionality of the desktop

If it'd just for notes a tablet could be in the mix. The surface go I believe works with their pen and the cheapest iPad works with the pencil.

include screenshots of the model, as the saying goes "no pics no clicks"

Whenever i hear people talking about "open air cases" my first question is always why?
How many times will you ACTUALLY pull the motherboard out to swap it with another?

but if you really do need this, just invest in an actual test bench or an open air case.

if you NEED to d.i.y. long screws with a nut glued/welded in place with washers on top would support the mobo and just include longer screws to make sure the GPU is steady to simulate screwing into brackets on a case.

the z flip gives me the same vibes as the new motorola razr and to a lesser extent the energizer phone, the hype will be huge, the company(ies) will put huge investment into it and then 4% of their customers will buy them.

Plus RAID 0 is quite fragile - you lose one drive, you lose all the data.

You'll see improvements with higher ram speeds, I dont have the figures but all it takes is a quick search on YouTube, "Ryzen 3000 series ram speeds"

If you're using x264 try playing siege in 1440p /higher graphic settings as this will offload the gameplay to the gpu

I've made a resolution. I'm not buying ANY games from Epic Store, especially not those that are exclusives. It doesn't matter what it is or how big of a fan I am of those series. I'm not gonna support bullshit business practices. I despise them so much I doubt I'd even buy Unreal branded game if they released one now. And I used to be a huge fan of the game and its engine for years and years.

    @LordFarto
This build would be more balanced (assuming you haven't bought the 1070ti yet (that would make the build you posted over 2k, whereas this build is cheaper than your build w/o gpu included and gets you the rtx 2070)

do you really need nvme? (probably not) do you really need the 9900k or could you step down to a cheaper cpu? As it stands you are paying more for your CPU than you will for your GPU, you generally dont need to buy extra fans, especially as you have an aio anyways......

    TL:DR
your system will be WILDLY unbalanced
as a computer science student, you dont need this much for the occasional game and coding, from experience you wont really have time to play that often therefore you should probably spend about half on the computer

    What?
You're pissed off that it has a SSD and you would rather it only has a HDD for a boot drive?

What country? I just put the list of parts (or closest substitutes) in to PCPP (Germany) and got a total of just under 1600 Euro (currency converts to roughly 1800 USD). Considering it comes pre-built and including a copy of Windows, sounds like a pretty decent price for what you're getting.

Okay? Then don't buy it. Build something better yourself.

I still don't see how this is a scam?
