  1. Does anyone have any idea or speculation as to how the RTX cards will perform in mining and compute tasks? Kinda curious how they will stack up to Vega and if it forces amd to rush their next architecture.
  2. From what I can see, the RTX 2080ti has the same tdp as the 1080ti
  3. Single player games or multiplayer? Single player I prefer FPS to match the refresh rate so the highest resolution that allows that Multiplayer, non competitive, same as single player Competitive, 1080p, as many frames as possible, turn down settings and such
  4. My opinion, feel free to skip, tldr at bottom I feel like this was one of the worse outcomes for scrapwayrd wars so far, only coming second to the one with the RGB factor or the one with case design in mind... Looking at the calculations and making assumptions where appropriate, Linus "lost" by $1.38 cad which makes sense, sure, luke saved money and won by a hair, if he hadn't sold the bag of tech he would have lost But looking at the Fortnite benchmark in particular... Btw can I just say that that's a bit of a joke of a benchmark... At least use a game with a built in benchmark then say if Fortnite is smooth.. Regardless of how bad a benchmark it is: Luke "won" by Less than 1 FPS or Linus "lost" by Less than 2 FPS this is the best example anyone could give of run to run variance, this is why averages exist. I get it's not meant to be super serious but when the final score is a 0.1 difference at least try to step up the accuracy or declare it a draw TL:DR Luke's "win" was won almost entirely on a margin of error which could have been caused by Linus doing 360's on his Fortnite descent or that he had Lukes model loaded for ~10 seconds longer.
  5. Most places said 60-90 Hz but yeah that sounds like a mistake, thank-you! Great thank-you! This monitor doesn't have 1.4 afaik but thanks
  6. buying a monitor, AOC E2070SWNL to be specific, some places list this as a 60 hz monitor but others say 60-90hz? it has no display port and hdmi only supports 60hz correct? so does that mean the VGA port supports 60hz+?
  7. Technically playing at a higher resolution should make it better, 2560x1440 would help
  8. Surely kh3 is made in dx11 just like FFXV so a pc port is pretty simple surely
  9. Any overclock? Is it a blue screen or black screen? It could also potentially be ram related.
  10. You're just wrong, sorry. The g4560 is nearly a perfect pairing for the 1060-3gb, obviously the 8100 would be better, but it is more expensive... The 1060-3gb is about on par with the 970 970=1060-3gb 980=1060-6gb 980ti=1070
  11. Yeah this games disgusting, I can't wait for it to be taken down, brb gonna go plant a bomb and slaughter 5 counter terrorists
  12. Those cpu temps are fine a lil hot but far off thermal throttling, the GPU temps are very hot, perhaps undervolt the card, there are many tutorials on doing this.
  13. Just out of curiosity, is there a way to flash a 1070ti bios onto a 1080 to disable the extra cores? Purely to attempt to run in sli?
  14. Any CLC will work as long as it is an asetek design, they don't all get full coverage, that's just then liqtech from enermax as mentioned
  15. Kingdom hearts 3 and the potential pc ports of kingdom hearts 1.5 and 2.5
  16. The 2 in 1 has the best specs and it is a cool form factor, either that or the zen book imo
  17. Just read that you stream... Look for a used 7700(k) or 6700(k)
  18. I feel like you should get more FPS... The 580 is a beast, 4gb or 8gb? The 7500 shouldn't be an issue
  19. Ops, my mistake, the 1080p model looks almost identical
  20. Obviously your build is good, I like the spec omega , I personally prefer strix boards from Asus but your board should be good 750w psu is completely overkill, 650w max is what you'd be good with, hell a 550w would probably do it. The 8700k is the best gaming CPU atm, same deal with 1080ti, Nvidia might be launching a new generation soon, no one knows but that might be worth considering? Although if you're playing at 1080p the 1080ti is completely overkill, step down to a 1070ti or a 1080 and invest in a 1440p monitor, it should balance out okay and you'll have a good experience, or just keep the 1080ti and get a 1440p monitor If you have the budget get a k95 platinum RGB with Mx browns, best keyboard I've ever used G502 is a great mouse, I use an m65 pro RGB.
  21. More instructions per cycle, higher clock speeds, afaik it's more power efficient at identical clocks
  22. As a rule of thunb, if you can get a 1080 for less than $50 more, get the 1080 as it has more price to performance As mentioned, the 1070ti can be ocd to match the 1080 but the 1080 can be ocd further. Edit: 1070ti not 1970ti
  23. Did the CPU info report correct before this bios flash? Also perhaps do a tl:dr, a wall of text puts people off.
  24. as already stated they bin for clocks at low frequency but just a cool thing afaik its the same binning process that they use for the quadro cards
  25. Not to forget the extra money on cooling for the k sky, you can cool and maintain the 8700 with just a 140mm aio
