  1. unfortunately the 295x2 is not a common card and thus not too many people understand its relevant performance, the 8400 is just at the point that i wouldn't personally buy, it'd be easier to sell if you bought one of those rgb "mechanical feel" keyboards for like £20 and an rgb mouse then a monitor and sell for £700 as a complete bundle, it's much more attractive that way.
  2. if you want a quality phone from a good company that will actually replace your phone if there is an issue, pick oneplus coming from an original razer phone owner
  3. 1.45 is "safe" on first gen ryzen cpus, I got 4 stable on my 1600 at 1.37 ish, I don't run that as imo the voltage is a little high, I tend to run stock voltage and oc as much as i can whilst remaining stable, think mine is locked at max turbo atm (3.6?)
  4. seems fairly normal? all things considered it is just the initial zen architecture, some people reported around 3.9-4.2 at reasonable voltages
  5. I've had nothing but good experience with the Logitech wheels, like the G920/G29
  6. unfortunately youre current motherboard doesn't have the correct chipset to support the core 2 quads but your motherboard will support the Core 2 duo extremes
  7. So my fan is currently broken, it makes the most god awful noises and stop starts and struggles to do so.. tried rmaing, see end of post Would it be possible to just unplug the fan from the mobo and leave it plugged into the hue+ for lighting, I've tested with and without the fan, the difference over an hour of stress testing is about 4 degrees so not worth the noise but I love the lights Long story short, never buy nzxt fans, even though I'm within their warranty period anddd have proof of purchase they still won't RMA it...
  8. Payed $169 for the 1600, feelsbad
  9. Depends how far you want to go, it's fairly simple to plastidip the frame of the keyboard The easiest thing would be to change keycaps, I personally have a Corsair k95 pro RGB with blank clear keycaps
  10. I used to get the exact same issue with uplay when i had a 750 ti and 4th gen i3, they told me they weren't officially supporting those generations and basically got told to suck it up, i'd imagine it would be a similar story for your hardware, can't comment on origin.
  11. they perform within small margins of eachother, to me, the warranty is worth the extra $20, also 1070TI sounds wayyy cooler than a 1080
  12. check if it's in warranty, rma that bad boy. It won't go by itself unfortunately, i've personally never had an issue with the asus strix pascal cards but i know i had coil whine issues with the old strix maxwell cards.
  13. they aren't truly necessary anymore really, I'm sure jayz2cents did a video of him building a pc on his carpet to prove a point... if it's your first try then sure, its only $5 anyways otherwise i wouldn't bother.
  14. https://www.amazon.com/Intel-BX80662G3900-Celeron-2-80Ghz-LGA1151/dp/B01B2PJRPA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1538040835&sr=8-2&keywords=skylake+celeron buy one of those from either amazon or a local hardware store if you have one, pop it in and update bios, thats probably your best course of action, you can then clean the cpu up and probably return it
  15. it's not stupid af to buy one right now, its just ill advised due to the lack of ray tracing right now.... as said by someone else, if you own a 1070ti or better you'd be smart to wait for the price drops if you desperately need the bleeding edge tech... personally i'm waiting for the price drops on pascal due to turing and ima just buy another 1080 and sli them bad boys
  16. well thats cool then, i look forward to the results good luck man!
  17. That's what I'd have thought that, have you seen how nvlink scales vs sli?
  18. Okay, the correct answer is that the x370 Chipset is a consumer level Chipset along with the Ryzen CPUs, this means they were not intended to use 3 GPUs and pcie based storage You could use 2 1080tis with the pcie based storage What software are you using? Do you know how well it scales with multiple GPUs? Most software I have used scales incredibly poorly with more than 2 GPUs, some software scales horribly with anymore than 1 GPU Hope this helps.
  19. Not sure if you're gonna get it? You're saying this is a 10k build for what? Gaming... Not only is this bad specs for the job but the rtx cards aren't even remotely at a stage where they are a "good buy" If you want a realistic build you'd be absolutely perfect for a good couple of years with a single 1080ti, i7 8700k, 16 GB ram and whatever filler you really want Do that and get a mobo that supports sli and a PSU big enough for 2 1080tis to allow for plug and play sli when eventually a single 1080ti is average, which won't be for a long time, good luck and happy building.
  20. I'm not sure if the rtx quadros or 2080ti will be much better than the titan V? I guess unless you wanted to use nvlink which afaik is under tested, that could be worth looking into
  21. As some are aware, UK university students have had their university places confirmed for September. This means people normally like new laptops for note taking and such. The first student loan payment is up coming, anyone have any suggestions for per say, sub £700 GBP thin and light laptops that don't suck?
  22. Does anyone have any idea or speculation as to how the RTX cards will perform in mining and compute tasks? Kinda curious how they will stack up to Vega and if it forces amd to rush their next architecture.
