That is one sexy backside. I did the last vinyl pieces and I'm close to loop filling.

Printed a PSU brace bracket to keep the shroud level.

Love that two tone of the case now, with matte black ontop, front and back, but the case intact. Makes the characteristic handles pop even more.

3D printed custom back plates with cut outs for GPU and Motherboards. Just need 2h of sanding and they will be perfect.

Printed a fan cover for the radiator inside. Added some magnetic tape. Handy. What a wonderful logotype that is?

No, it's not a rail way crossing. it's a SSD bracket

Slide in for easy access, complete with cable cover plate. Now I'm ready to fill and take some photos (if it doesnt leak)

A picture can say a thousand words, but not sure it can cover all the frustration (cursing) from 200h of failed prints, but I have one more item to manage on my plan for this entire mod. The crown piece to earn the name of the mod - Unhidden | Tribute.

But I was determined to print a full custom front with cutouts for the fans, to show them as well as adding a little personal touch to the otherwise fairly untouched case.

Complete with the authentic snap in and fold out design of the original front. Toook some tries to get that one right with guess-and-print approach.

As the design of the original front is extended beyond the frame I wanted to design a frame/tunnel that goes all the way into the fans. Precision required.

Tested a few designs, but decided to print it with an edge on the front pieces and an edge on the fan rings. That way I had something to glue/fuze the pieces once done.

Moved on to test how to merge the pieces the best way. To thin (just 2,4mm) to do metal enforced pins. Decided to go with a printed plug and use Acrifix on the entire edge.

Couple of hundred of hours and some kilometers of add:norths finest filament, but it is close now.

Yummy. Complete with a cut out of a very famous and awesome logo

Voila! That is starting to look just like the real front panel, just with a little more holes.

I ended up melting some filament ontop of each joint. Didn't trust just the bond of the Acrifix after a stress test. Going to pull A LOT on these pieces during sanding. Don't want to have to restart after second last sanding.

The real rings fuzed together as they have to be much thinner where they join as two fans share one edge.

Sorry for the really bad picture. I had a fight with Dropbox and accidently deleted most of the pictures of the sanding process. Mostly 50h of screaming muscle ake and dust, but getting close to a good finish. As I'm going to add vinyl it's very unforgiving. Paint fills, so with primer you could prob go here, but I still need 3-4 more Putty applications and a few more full rotations of wet sanding (280, 320, 480, 600, 800, 1000)

Thank you Cooler Master Nordics for sending that badge <3. Printed a holder for it to snap into the backside of my front.

Same exclusive matte vinyl added to this. Going to look nice to the two tone finish of the rest of the case accentuating the lines of the C700P. Tomorrow is the final day. I got some hours left with the 3D printer with the finishing pieces

    Learn by doing...

Third time is a charm, atlest for me adding this matte vinyl to the top. I got big mod left for the front, so I want two tone. The sides are left original to pay my tribute to the exterior as well.

This will be a BIG challenge...

Dual pumps and loops mean dual drains. This is one. As the bottom fan cover is removable, it's leaves a fairly easy access without taking up space.

One last RGB test before I start to put things into it's real place.

Next time I will use soft tubes for below the shroud (jeeez what a lot of work)

That cannot leak or it will be expensive...

Looks almost like an engine. To bad all these beautiful precision bends isn't visible once I'm done

That only fits in one specific order, but should work. Became a little complicated when I cut the rhombe hole. Want a clear view to the PSU.

With all the bends and planning done for the shroud I could finally put vinyl on it and put it back, permanently. That looks so good IRL. It is so matte it eats light.

That bracket worked out really good. Riser secured. The bracket is a mini version (line wise) of the exterior line of the bottom foot.

Not bad at 3am. Last bend of the loop. Took some time to get this perfect. Needed it at a very specific hight.

There, that last pipe is at exactly the same hight as the 90 fittings going into the GPU. Makes for a nice line. Then it bends over the VRAM pipe to end up to the left reservoir.

Loop is done and put together. Still need to "fill" that empty spot on the backside. 3D printer got to work before I went to bed 4am. Alarm for 6am, two more days...

I admit, I'm starting to feel the preasure. Just passed 40h straight and still so much work left to do. I'm starting to feel that scary feeling that there is a chance I'll not make it in time. More coffee, I'm GOING to make it...

RGB testing. I'm using the Alphacool Eismatrix together with the Cooler Master fan hub that came with the case. I tested that I can run the Case RGB from the Eismatrix and I can. Good.

Printed a side and a roof for the backside pump cover. Needs sanding and putty.Probably in the other order...

Printed some angled glue brackets to keep it stronger. Found out that the Acrifix melt and bond the PLA as well. Nice stuff.

Both front and back are not glues together. Need putty, sanding and a nice finish.

That's the inside of the GPU bracket. Counter sunk holes to avoid the riser (prob a good thing).

Thats more like it. It's drilled and fitted.

Designed and printed a GPU bracket to mount on the side. That way I don't have to connect it to the motherboard side. Like that solution. Just needs some sanding and it should be good to go.

MB plate all naked and ready to get some exclusive vinyl - matt black.

Not bad if I can say so myself.

My snap in brackets are finally in place and the motherboard / wall is in place.

Added vinyl on the back pump cover / shroud as well.

    Cable combs and brackets mounted.

Motherboard in place and with the sleeving done I can (need) start to push for finishline.

Just look at that beautiful case. Will be hard to mod this amazing thing and still keep it as clean as possible. For me, this entire mod is about taking away enough to get more attention to the case, but enough to make it a real mod. Find that balance will be the big challenge.

Thanks to amazing support from Coolermaster this amazing platinum PSU will be the beating heart. I have a plan to get the PSU visible, but still use a shroud. To ensure every single product in this mod will be unhidden and tributed.

Any big project needs it fans. Again lucky with the support, I got these amazing Masterfan Pro 120 to be the showcase of the mod. I plan to make them visible in a very special way. Based on an idea I got from a previous mod.

It is almost breathtaking to watch all this power from Alphacool. So much water cooling godness going into one case. Almost hard to believe how I will fit it all.

Happy with this first evening. Took a few hours to rig the photo studio and take pictures of all the products. Then carefully started to pick the Coolmaster Cosmos C700P apart. I'm left with the frame and have a great starting point for tomorrows full day of modding. Let the game beging.

Still a little creative panic, so much to do in so little time. Less then 4 weeks to do a full mod from scratch. Haven't even started Fusion 360 for the 3D prints yet...

Yes, I can feel the pressure...

Waking up to a successful print is a great feeling. Waking up to a successful print on the second day of CMWS19 is an awesome feeling.

    Happy with my pumpbracket.

Fits perfectly. Snaps in place with just a little push and will not only keep the two pumps in place, but will help keep the case more rigid as I have removed every bar and steel component from it.

After a lot of planning, measurements, a few dummy pieces in cardboard I took out the 5mm thick acrylic that will serve as the new inside mounting wall and motherboard tray. Trimming detailed cuts on my Ryobi saw is just amazing. Love that saw.

This is how it will fit from the backside. I'm moving the backside "wall" 40mm further into the case to make room for some backside goodies. Unhidden | Tribute

Decided, as I usually try to do when I mod, to keep the case as it is. No drilling or cutting into the original case. That is my main idea. Therefor I decided to hang the wall onto the radiator frames.

After some thought I came up with this design in Fusion 360. A snap in bracket to fit exactly into the cable cutouts of the radiator frames.

After less than 1 hour on the print bed I got a perfect fit from start. It snaps into place from the inside of the radiator bracket.

From the outside it shows how snug fit it is.

Test drilled two 5mm holes 12mm apart in a scrap piece of acrylic. It worked like a charm.

Had to test with it onto the bracket and with a 5mm thick acrylic. It is just a little loose, just like I need it, as I plan to add a little more surface thickness when I do the wall finish.

After that I still wanted to ensure the inside wall would stay in place with more then just a few plastic pins. Decided to create a little more complex piece and make use of the dual corner frame of the case.

Came out really nice on the first print.

Twist and snap onto the two bolt rivets of the case and then a screw from the original box and it fits perfectly. It both squeezes the wall onto the PSU bracket as well as giving the acrylic an edge to stand on. Super happy.

Had to try the pump bracket. Only have one printed, but it is still very sturdy.

This gives a little sneak peak into what I'm after. Had a very productive day and have a pretty good idea what to do with the PSU shroud that will be the next piece.

Leaving this day 2 with the second pump bracket loaded into the 3D printer. In 9h I will know if it turned out as good as the first one. Slightly different design.

First day of modding. Super excited. Started at 6am with breakfast and a long session in Fusion 360. Can't say I felt bad with a Coolermaster T-shirt and a Alphacool coffeemug in my hand. First thing was to start 3D-printing to maximize work hours. Print while doing other stuff.      This is just a small piece, printed on my Ultra fast print profile, to make sure I had measurements correct. Had to make one adjustment and run it again. The idea is to print the entire backside "plate" with honeycomb mesh patter. I also need a bracket to hold the custom motherboard plate. Visible as a 20mm vertical edge on the above print.      After some hours to many I had decided on a placement for my dual Alphacool Eispumpe with plexi RGB top. I will need to create a custom bracket to hold both the pumps, but had already accepted that.      Unboxed the Alphacool radiators and Coolermaster fans and put it all together.      One rad in the front and one at the top. Pretty much standard. Also onboxed the Coolermaster V1000 Platinum PSU and fitted that. I want all the components mounted as early as possible, just to ensure I have enough room and that they end up in the right place. Important for the next few days. No room for even 1mm off and I do all work by hand. Next couple of updates will hopefully show what I'm refering to, depending on the speed of my progress.      After about an hour in Fusion 360 I had an working model of the pump brackets. Decided to 3D print them. If they wont end up sturdy enough I have designed them in a way so I can just slide in an aluminum bar at the back wall as it is exactly 20mm in the inner measurement.      Almost 3h on the bed, even with the uggly fast print profile, but still happy. Had to make 2 adjustments to perfectly align the bottom holes with the frame of the case.    Ending this modding day at 21pm. Long day. Not that much physical to show for, but super happy. I have a pretty good idea how to proceed from here and I have discarded almost 10 concepts for the shroud and motherboard plate. Think I have it down for tomorrow.

Best thing with 3D printing parts, is that the printer runs while I sleep. I got a 10h print (the pump bracket) loaded. Very curious how it will turn out tomorrow morning.

For me it is always extra fun to reach the backside of a project. It is fun, it gives me the opportunity to sleeve and it is a milestone that state that a project is close to the end.

I started in Fusion 360 to get a feel for what I wanted to make. Went fairly fast to reach something I felt could work. I guess the upside of doing my third consecutive project in the amazing be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900. Color scheme was set a long time ago.

Took the loose motherboard tray and went to work.

A few anoying rivets that always adds extra work. Took some measurements and masked for sawing.

No problem with this baby. Fast, straight, hazzle free. Love my Ryobi saw (thank you again Ryobi for the support).

Started with a quick prototype that I 3D printed. Extended the height for dual layers (ofc) and did some modifications to holes and fastening after testing with a custom 24 I had laying around. This will look good sanded down and printed on high quality settings.

All pieces done. Will make the backside look clean.

I got some happy comments on my manually created cable "plate" on project Zeuligan. Was extra fun to be able to 3D print a perfect one. Still just a test print (lesser quality), but needed a prototype for measurements.

So easy. Did I mention I just love my saw? ❤️

That will work just as intended, I like this idea for cable management very much. Should prob make more of this...

Not that much thinking needed as I had my concept from Fusion 360. Just had to check that I could bend the cables and that I ended up at the right place at the bottom. The MB-plate has 2 holes wide enough for 30ish cables. Not good to miss that opening.

After finding the right placement, distance it wasn't much more to it. Just drill all the holes and thread them.

Could finally use some of that expensive black matte car vinyl I bought as a test for the exterior before I decided to paint it instead. Will make for a nice contrast in finish and color.

Pretty happy with that end result tbh. The matte finish works well for both the texture of the 3D printed custom cable combs and the half shiny metal frame. Will make for a nice backdrop for the custom sleeved MDPC-X cables.

Speaking of that. First layer of the 24 pin ready. Will leave that as a teaser for next updated that will be all the cables sleeved (ran out of ATX pins (sigh)) and mounted on the backside. Hope it will look good.
