I don't fanboy for anyone and could care less if someone's a fanboy themselves. The problem is he's building a "non-gaming" build with a 9700k and a 1070 on a z390 motherboard. All you need is a 2200g with its more than capable integrated GPU or maybe an RX 580/570 if you want to go overkill on a cheaper non gaming mobo. He's using an Aorus Gaming X, a 9700k and a 1070. He way over sold the customer no matter how you look at it. Hell he just said in his live stream that he "doesn't care what others say if it's negative, why would that be important? what matters are the customers, who cares what flyguy79 has to say no one's gonna read that".

He should be using a Ryzen 3 2200g Lmao, saw that btw. The 2200g outclasses the i3 for a significantly lower sticker price with better priced "non-gaming" chipset mobos.

Fair point, though as far as the contact argument goes it's much different from Vox's as you pointed out. They're in the same industry on the same platform, and lack the faceless-ness of a large corporation. While these are all subjective points, they certainly add to the argument against him where he decided not contact Linus directly. Waiting for the video where he "apologizes" and blames it on his mental state caused by his ill father. Carey has a childish "Why am I NOT GROWING? It can't be my fault, someone's out to get me" attitude. He's using Linus as a sad attempt at a mental crutch because he refuses to acknowledge the failure of his channel. He convinced himself that it's true and is now going to pay dearly. He called out other TechTubers like Jayz for christs sake to draw comparisons about why he doesn't get growth. Jayz puts a ton of effort into his videos, has a VERY strong IT background and funnels a ton of channel finances into the channel itself. I'm honestly disgusted by his response and self loathing behavior. Carey acts as though he deserves more than he's given and acts like he's entitled to a stronger viewer base. Fuck you, why don't you start caring about the people who are ALREADY here and thanking us instead of bitching about not having more subscribers.

This is very unfortunate. He made his video, attacking linus personally, asking for Linus' response. Linus made his response, and carey thinks he's lying. I currently am watching his stream, and claims he is going to be taking linus to court. He is telling the mods to ban everyone who isnt on his side. Thankfully, I got my opinion in before he started. What a shame. I have been a supporter of his for a long time.

Reach out to a few contracting firms and get some estimates. See if those estimates are ok with management and have an experienced team do this task. It's not some fly-by-night server setup. This is a financial institution. Don't cut any corners.

First of all, I feel like you got thrown in the deep end here. If you get hired for IT positions like this they usually go through job history to make sure you can implement a system like this. Usually if you're asking on a forum for how to do this, you shouldn't have this job. 
BUT I have too much free time and like helping people.
Second, unless this is a very tech savvy bank, you are probably working with transaction systems that have 90s era interfaces. Black background with green text. If it has cubicles with loan officers, those are the ones that will have Windows based systems for ease of use with first party software installed for data privacy. (New client entry, etc.)

The amount of vitriol that is being spewed in Carey's comment section is ridiculous. Even Carey himself is unwilling to accept anything, other than the fact that Linus struck down his videos manually albeit being able to live stream. After confronting Carey in the comments section, summarizing the issue, and stating that Linus himself got a content ID from himself, while being respectful (unlike a certain somebody) I ended up having my comment deleted (and no, I'm not as paranoid as Carey).

He does that a lot. "Linus and all these hobbyist channels don't understand technology" all while conveniently ignoring how LTT actually started. A bunch of techs who worked for NCIX...doing exactly what he does in his videos. This guy is ignorant to anything that isn't a consumer computer system.
