  1. Sounds good. Will go through with everything this evening. Thank you for your advice!
  2. That was the next plan. This is new territory for myself, and things deviated a bit from the instructions I was given. Measure twice and cut once. Will installing on its own like that change how I boot into Linux? GRUB vs Changing the boot order in the UEFI?
  3. I'm currently at work, so i will post screenshots later. I don't want to install it on the same drive as Windows, I want to install it on a partition of the SSD i just installed if possible. That partition is formatted in NTFS. If it helps here is my HD configuration. 250 GB SSD - C Drive - Windows Boot 2TB Mechanical - D Drive - Steam Library 500 GB SSD - Partitioned into two volumes, E & F. E is where i would like to install linux if possible.
  4. I'm currently trying to dual-boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu. However, i'm having an issue trying to get Ubuntu installed. I've created a bootable USB per Ubuntu's instructions, and I can boot into the installer just fine. When it comes to doing the actual installation, the installer does not see Windows 10 installed on my machine like it should be. I've done a little digging for answers. The only things I could really find were to turn off Fast Startup and to scan and repair the volume on which Windows is installed. None of that seems to be working. I did just install a new SSD on which I have created a partition to install Linux, would there be any reason that may be messing with something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good USB Atari 2600 Joystick and Paddle to for use on a Raspberry Pi? I see some on amazon with less than favorable reviews and don't want to jump in and spend $30 on controllers if they are going to be junk.
  6. Thank you for the input!
  7. I'm about to build my new PC using the NZXT S340 elite case. Are the stock fans that come with it junk or are they something I should look into upgrading? If so, any suggestions as for good aftermarket fans to replace them?
  8. Unfortunately I don't think it's available to even download anymore. At least through legal channels that is. Fireworks was phased out when adobe went to the Creative Cloud platform a while back. I used it sparingly when I was in school for web/graphic design 10-ish years ago (CS3?) Through out the versions and upgrades to the bigger names in adobe software, fireworks kind of became obsolete.
  9. Thank you for the suggestion, i will look into that. I guess I really didn't clarify, my apologies. I'm not doing any hardcore art creation, just some small side projects here and there like logos and graphics for social media banners. I'm looking mainly for something that can create and export to standard file formats like .eps and .png files.
  10. Has anyone here used the windows version of Affinity Designer? I'm in the process of switching from the Mac side of things and love Affinity as an illustrator alternative. Im just wondering if anyone has issues to report or has any other illustrator alternatives they would like to share.
