OK. Just one more thing. Non RGB is C14 and RGB is C16 any impact/improvement due to this ?

What I meant is 3000 non rgb to 3200 rgb will provide how much boost ? And also I am planning to add another kit of 16 gigs. In that case shall I add another non rgb kit or replace with two RGB kits.

OK. Seems it doesn't make sense to go beyond 3000 right now ? Also I currently have 8Gb x2/3000. I was thinking of purchasing another kit to fill all the slots 32Gb. In that case what are your suggestions ? Does C14 vs C16 matter fro Ryzen 7 ?

I have successfully over clocked my ram (F4-3000C14D-16GTZ) on bios (6101).Now my concern is shall I upgrade to Trident X RGB 3200 or stick at 3000 non RGB.How much will be the performance boost if I upgrade to 3200 from 3000?

Ryzen Ram Clock Speed Help
graddumdum replied to Frankieanime158's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I am using Ryzen 1800x with Asus Hero Vi & Gskill 3000 C14 ram. My ram stock ratings are - 14-14-14-34 / 3000 Mhz / 1.35 Volt. But its not stable at 14-14-14-34 / 3000 Mhz or 3200 Mhz or 2933 Mhz / 1.35 Volt. After fresh powers up it resets the frequency to 2133. 1) Its stable at 16-16-16-39 / 3200 Mhz / 1.35 Volt.I conclude to this by keeping the timing as auto, and manually giving voltage to 1.35 and frequency to 3200.However Post issue is there. When I am powering up the pc from scratch it resets once then runs fine at 16-16-16-39 / 3200 Mhz / 1.35 Volt. 2) Its stable at 14-14-14-34 / 2666 Mhz / 1.35 Volt.I conclude to this by manually giving voltage to 1.35 and frequency to 2666.However Post issue is there. When I am powering up the pc from scratch it resets once then runs fine at 14-14-14-34 / 2666 Mhz / 1.35 Volt. So basically it cannot handle tight timings with higher frequencies. Which option is safe to use 2666 or 3200 as per above details? Is it safe to use 24x7 ? -
C14 Ram Running at C15 at stock settings
graddumdum posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Motherboard is Asus Hero Vi, bios version is 1201. I have purchased a Gskill 3000 ram, rated 14-14-14-34 1.35 volt. But at stock bios settings it is running at 2133 15-15-15-38. No configuration changes made. Any suggestion !! -
Gskill F43000C14D-16GTZ - SAFE TO RUN AT 3200 ????

Need help with Overclockin
graddumdum replied to ventus0907's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I agree, but generally people use water cooler which gives you more space inside the case. Also, if you use air cooler you might not able to use all ram( Big Heatsink) slots. -

First go and buy a cooler (Water cooler will be the best one to go with). Secondly, visit the url below, you will get to know everything required. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-ryzen-7-1700x-review,4987-2.html -

I would suggest an aftermarket cooler before playing with bios. Its for sure stock cooler will not be able manage the cooling required. -
Ryzen 1800x + Hero Vi Mobo + Gskill RGB 3200
graddumdum replied to graddumdum's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Today I have replaced the Gskill 3200 RGB kit with Gskill F43000C14D-16GTZ. This ram is awesome, it has B-die chip. Stock speed is 3000 and timings are 14-14-14-34. I am currently running the rams at 3200 with timings 14-14-14-32 and 1.35 volt. Smoooooth. -

If you have 3200 RGB Tridentz like me.It would not work sbove 2133.Its a bloody Hynix not a B-die. Need to wait for a fix or else would buy B-die Rams.
