SuperShires reacted to king_thenorth in Help with setting up a TP Link Wifi Extender/Access Point
If by that, you mean the access point (ap) just broadcasts wifi, yes. In that setup, it will just be a "wired extender", and it can be set as its own network like an extender or as a mesh node for the original netowork. by going back up in the manual, around page 16 i believe, you can setup the ap in one mesh mode, so it is the same SSID, and your devices will be able to roam between them like a mesh setup. Otherwise you can set it like a regular extender, but wired to the main router. Now in ap mode it is a little better, as it will be the same lan network instead of the usual extender mode, which usually makes it a separate lan network. I would recommend one mesh mode if it actually is usable with your setup, which a quick look at the products in use made it seem like it should work.

That's manageable under Windows Device Manager you can turn off USB power when PC is turned off

No problem with that. The whole way a pc controls a fan is by lowering or dropping the voltage.

If the Noctuas are plugged into the Motherboard how do you control the fan speed? Last time I checked there isn't an option to ramp fan speed with GPU temps?
Always been tempted to buy a solution like this for my ref RTX 2060 Super (Thanks Nvidia for the 41% fan speed lock) but hate the fact I can't plug the fans into the GPU fan header..

You can definitely set the Geforce RTX logo to any colour and also do lighting effects like breathing as I've seen it done on a video showcasing it, they flashed the GPU with an EVGA bios and used their lighting software to do it.

I would love them to share a link on how to flash the bios as I'd love a step by step guide as I've been after flashing my bios on my RTX 2060 super for a long time as the 41% idle fan speed annoys the hell out of me. Guess I'll wait and hope for a response.

If you are using the original 6-32 bolts a metric washer that is M4 would fit. #6 bolts are 0.13” or approx 3.3mm in diameter.

Yeah they're pretty much the ones I settled for haha. Got some black screws with green washers which should look good. All in all £10 for 10 screws and washers which is mad when you think about it but should look sweet

If you find your pump noisy/clicky then it is likely to be air trapped in the pump. Please try the instructions in the video.

Just wondering if there is any or any news on top end AM4 micro ATX motherboards available? Planning on upgrading my computer in the future and I'm pretty much just waiting for a decent motherboard in M-ATX form factor

What I mean by high end is the likes of similar mobos to Asus ROG Strix Z270 and similar. All the ones I've seen are budget orientated and I plan on doing a custom loop and going all out pretty much.

    Thanks
