I have a gaming PC that I'm going to sell cause I have no time to play any games anymore and I don't see a reason for it to sit there and collect dust when I could get a lot of money for it. I have an iPad Air 2 which I think is even more than enough for what I need it for for school. I was going to get a MacBook to learn to code for iOS but idk about that now either. I got an LG G3 but didn't like it so I upgraded to an iPhone 6S Plus. Needless to say it was an expensive upgrade because it wasn't close to time for me to get an upgrade. Since I love my iPhone, how long should I keep it before I upgrade? I can have it for 12 months and trade it in for free or keep it for 18 months and get a new phone and own the iPhone. What should I do? How long do you usually keep your phone for?

Here me out before you start shitposting about how terrible Apple is and how much of a waste of your money it is. For things like Xcode, Swift, etc, I have to get a MacBook. Is the MacBook 13" with 4GB of RAM substantial enough to have several programs open at once? Also, would I get tired of the screen seeing it's not retina?
