Is there significant difference between the 4700U and the 4750U?

Hello, I'm going to start college next year and I'm looking to replace my 6 year old Asus N550JV. She has been good to me but I would like something more portable to transport (not to mention the battery could use replacing). I'm looking for a windows machine perhaps a bit cheaper than the XPS line. 13-15 in. touch screen preferred. USB type A, headphone jack, Bluetooth and HDMI REQUIRED. Type C preferred. RJ-45 is a plus but could easily go without. No gaming necessary, just something to take notes and do a bit of homework until I can get home to the desktop. Battery life 10+ hours greatly preferred. The thinner and lighter the better. Any suggestions into the right direction appreciated. (Also playing with the idea of waiting until next summer to purchase to see what the new Ryzen mobile chips improve in the laptop area but I'm not sure if it'll be worth the wait)

I'd like around 8 hours away from a plug, more is better. Decent display, full HD that's bright enough to read outdoors. Eastern US region. Lighter is better. Non-upgradable RAM doesn't bother me as long as it is 8 or more

Accounting, but her use case would mostly be notes. I have an ample desktop at home for full keyboard layout

My wife is starting her first year of college soon and I'm looking for laptop recommendations. We would like something under $1000 with decent battery life, a decent screen (13 inch but 15 is not a deal breaker), and well built. Thanks a million
