Yes. Both use Corsair Type 4 pinouts.

When you removed the CMOS battery, did you turn off power to the power supply or disconnect it from the wall, and then hold the power button? That's a requirement when resetting the BIOS utilizing that method. If the system is still getting standby power, the CMOS chip will remain powered, even without the CMOS battery being present.

Telling us that it is an Asus mobo won't get you very far because there is a mountain of different Asus mobo's.  Need more information than that.  How about the model for starters?  Tbh, would need a complete list of system components for us to get a better picture of the system along with what you planned on doing with it.  I mean is it something that you're going to use to program the next Delta V rocket or is it something that you're going to use to play Fortnite?

    Take care and good luck.

I have used a Radeon 6750 in my machine for a while now and have no regrets at all.  It has handled everything I have attempted, (sorry not much though other than World of Warcraft).

To be honest, I am leaning heavily towards the Hyte Y70.  https://hyte.com/store/y70?v=307

kb5zue reacted to Dedayog in Help in cloning os...
Get Macrium Reflect.  Clone the HDD to the SSD, provided the entire size of the data will fit on the SSD.

Is the HDD a 1TB HDD, or are all your files adding up to 1TB?

If the SSD is a name brand like Samsung or Crucial, they have their own software for free as well.

Note:  You can't just easily move the OS alone, so I am advising to move ALL stuff off the HDD and lose the HDD.

kb5zue reacted to thrasher_565 in GPU never stays 100% in any game
you dont want 100% as that means there a problem but 95% is good. and because the cpu is doing work taking away from the gpu.

some games you can lock it at an serten fps but you have to have more then that fps. so say you want 60 fps locked you need like 100 fps or something. but fps jumping around means nothing. as long as your not geting lag spikes then who cares what fps you have.

kb5zue reacted to thrasher_565 in GPU never stays 100% in any game
no because there things in the game that use more power and use less power...
if it is peged at 100% that would mean a big bottle neck were the gpu cant keep up.

I have been using my RX6750XT for quite a while now and have not had a single problem with it at all.  As such, I would not hesitate one second to put it on a reference list.  You can check my profile information to verify my system.

Zen 3 makes the most sense if you're already on AM4 and you can do a CPU upgrade without having to replace anything else.

Otherwise, I'd probably look at newer stuff, if budget allows it.

kb5zue reacted to RONOTHAN## in Where am I supposed to install the second hard drive?
Take the hard drive that's currently installed out. There are screw holes on the top of the cage that you use to mount the hard drive from the bottom. Mount the second drive on top of the cage, then reinstall the current hard drive.

It all depends on which version (10 or 11) that you already have the activation key for.

kb5zue reacted to Kid.Lazer in Why is my Ryzen Master acting krazy
I haven't used Ryzen Master in a long time, but my experience is that it has always been very finicky. Having the correct version of both the program itself and chipset drivers is of utmost importance.
