  1. the fix to my problem might not be it, but you could try downgrading the GPU drivers, I was using the latest driver during the crash, but downgraded to a 2021 driver and it fixed it, no more desktop crashes
  2. Glad you solved your issue! hope it runs well now Unfortunately (or fortunately), my motherboard doesn't have an extra 4 pin for the CPU, only a single 8 pin
  3. Sorry for the late reply, I used to I have the RAM running at 2933(my system won't boot up if I try to push it to 3200), but I have been running the RAM at stock(2133) since this issue popped up May I know why you didn't stress tested the RAM? I'll be stress testing my RAM today using Prime95, I'll update if it yields any result
  4. Hi, I had a serious amount of Event 41 random shutdowns at the start of this year, so I changed my PSU from a Corsair RMx 750W to a Seasonic Focus G 750W, since that's the common recommendation for this problem. But after installing the new PSU, the problem still persist. And from what I've read so far, it could be either a dying motherboard, or a problem with the BIOS (which I've tinkered around with before, but I have no idea what is exactly causing this problem). Any thoughts would be appreciated! Extra note just in case it's important : - The system crash doesn't display a BSOD, it just displays a black screen and rebooted. nothing is in the minidump folder. - the game PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is the only game that could consistently shutdown my system, although the time is random, it will eventually shut my system down. Windows would also not restart if this particular game crashed it, so a hard reboot is needed, unlike other shutdowns which just restarts the system - My PC is using the AMD stock cooler and thermal paste has recently been re-applied - My BIOS is on the latest version (5.80) that supports my CPU - I have updated the CPU & GPU drivers - I have 2 fans in front of the case as intake, and 2 fans on the rear and top as exhaust Things I've done: - I have reset my Windows 10 installation, the problem still persist - I have done some stress test on the CPU (OCCT 4x30mins & Cinebench) & GPU (Furmark 30mins) and encounter no system crashes during that time - undervolted the CPU and set the speed to 3.00 GHz - double checked if the PSU cables are tightly connected - disabled Window's fast boot Things I'm planning to try: - downgrade GPU driver - stress test RAM using prime95 These are my PC parts PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BQtJfv CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 3 GHz 8-Core Processor ($599.00 @ Amazon) Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4 ATX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB 3200mhz (3200mhz variant is not available in PCP) Storage: Samsung 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($59.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($180.00 @ Amazon) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB AMP Video Card Case: NZXT S340 Elite ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($139.00 @ B&H) Case Fan: NZXT FN V2 45 CFM 120 mm Fan Case Fan: ARCTIC P14 PST 72.8 CFM 140 mm Fan ($11.49 @ Amazon) Case Fan: ARCTIC P14 PST 72.8 CFM 140 mm Fan ($11.49 @ Amazon) Case Fan: ARCTIC P14 PST 72.8 CFM 140 mm Fan ($11.49 @ Amazon) EDIT: I Fixed it! I downgraded the GPU driver and everything is running well, I'm a week in and experiencing no crashes, hopefully someone in the future can use this info
  5. sorry, I forgot to mention that I can't find my exact RAM on PCP. My RAM is a G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB 3200mhz, and that was the closest one I found. And the RAM is currently running at 2133mhz

  7. thanks for the suggestions, but I don't think I'll be upgrading for a while. (at least not until DDR5 systems are out funnily enough) guess I'll be trading my RAM speeds for more RAM for now. Thanks for all the replies! made my purchase decision much easier
  8. mostly virtual machines, blender, browser tabs, and some video editing here and there (originally I'm looking to just use a 16GB kit, but I found a good bargain on a 32GB kit) I forgot to mention this, but my current RAM can only go up to 2933MHz, more than that and windows won't boot, is going to 2666 MHz for all the kits going to significantly affect performance? (because of the ryzen infinity fabric thingy)
  9. my current rig has a 2x8GB Gskill Tridentz with a Ryzen 1700 CPU is it okay to insert a 2x16GB Gskill Tridentz Neo to my rig, alongside the old one? if yes, are there any downsides of doing so? here is my full PC parts if anyone's wondering (can't find my exact RAM model) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/y3XJ3Z
  10. I currently use a Tecware Phantom keyboard which often has key chattering issues and some keys being unresponsive because the keyboard's outemu switches is hot-swappable, whenever a switch 'breaks' I'll just replace it with a new one But these broken switches starts to pile up overtime and I didn't know the root cause of this problem in the first place and how to fix it Any ideas on how to fix the issue? or should I replace the keyboard entirely? I'm open to any suggestions I've read that applying some alcohol or lube onto the switch might solve this issue, but I'm still on the fence with that idea since I'm not knowledgeable with the keyboard's internals Sorry if my descriptions aren't clear, thanks in advance!
  11. I currently can't find the UM2 in stock in my area, it'll probably take a few weeks for it to get back in stock all that is left is a Behringer Xenyx 302USB Mixer and a Behringer Xenyx Q502USB Mixer, which I'm told can also be used as an audio interface as well any thoughts on that? should I get the UM2 or the Xenyx?
  12. Thanks for the insight, I didn't know that how does the Q2U sound on USB? does it block out any noise such as keyboard and radiators? and is it comparable to not using any interfaces? sorry for the lengthy question
  13. how does the UCA202 compare to just using XLR to USB?
  14. it's either here or singapore, but preferably here my budget is ~16.000.000 IDR / ~1,500 SGD for indonesia https://www.enterkomputer.com/ https://www.pemmz.com/ https://www.tokopedia.com/ for singapore https://www.lazada.sg/ https://sg.carousell.com/
