  1. Thank you for your help, wouldnt i need to update the bios of the b450-f? Or is it 3000 ready out of the box? Also this build is mainly a workstation PC, barely any gaming will be done on it so thats why i went for an underpowered gpu and a better CPU.
  2. Im building a PC for a friend and i need help deciding whether i should go for 3600mhz ram Whenever i check i never get a solid "yes" answer to whether i should choose 3200 or 3600 mhz The list: PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/2fgsf9 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core Processor (£297.89 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£122.98 @ CCL Computers) Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard (£188.40 @ Alza) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£182.01 @ Newegg UK) Storage: Western Digital Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£59.97 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£52.88 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB Gaming X Video Card (£188.99 @ Amazon UK) Case: be quiet! Straight Power 11 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (£99.98 @ Amazon UK) Total: £1289.58 Should i swap out the RAM for the 3600 variant? Also feel free to recommend any swaps in the build, might change the 1650 for something better.
  3. The build is not for me. Im assuming its premiere pro or one of the common ones
  4. Budget (including currency): 1200ish GBP, can be higher though Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Image editing, video editing, maybe light games, admin things for work Other details PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/gqxLBZ CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor (£260.73 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X53 73.11 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£119.99 @ Box Limited) Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard (£145.47 @ Scan.co.uk) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (£188.36 @ CCL Computers) Storage: Western Digital Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£59.97 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£52.88 @ CCL Computers) Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 580 4 GB NITRO+ Video Card (£213.99 @ Amazon UK) Case: be quiet! Also, does the motherboard need a bios update for 3000 support? The asus website says yes but some other places say no.
  5. Thank you, Also, i play on a 144hz monitor and play all my games at 1080p 144. Wouldnt cloning my screen for the capture card then lock my display to 60hz. Theres a method that you use your obs preview but it really lowers the quality. Do you know if theres anyway i would not get locked to 60hz, my laptop display is 120hz so i shouldnt be locked to 60 right?
  6. Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section. I have my gaming desktop and a gaming laptop. My desktop has a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB 3000Mhz and 1060 6GB while my laptop as a Ryzen 5 (i forgot which variant), 16GB of RAM and a 1660. I was thinking of getting a capture card (maybe an avermedia or elgato one) and have my desktop as my gaming pc and my laptop as my dedicated streaming PC. I have been doing a bit of research and i think i get the gist of how to set it all up. I am just unsure on if i will have any issues with my headset which is the steel series arctis 5. Its wireless and has a dongle which also has a 3.5mm jack on it. Can anyone explain to me how i would be able to have the capture card pick up the audio from my headset. Would i just have to run a 3.5mm cable from the 3.5mm output on the dongle to the input on the capture card. Also, would i have any issues with this setup. Sorry if this is a silly question, i just want to make sure i know what i am doing before i decide to go with it. Thanks in advance.
  7. Isnt it sufficient though, shouldnt i be able to just use my one for a bit then upgrade
  8. I'm gonna open my pc in a few to check what psu I have, it's a cx500 pretty sure
  9. I should be doing fine then with a ryzen 5 3600 and an rx5700xt Thank you for your help, i think ill settle on the red dragon card
  10. So if i were to get a 5700xt i would have to use x264, or would i still be able to use nvenc at all
  11. i use obs, shadowplay is just to get clips sincei get get my last 2 mins or so of gameplay
  12. I use my pc for some occasional streaming etc so nvenc is a +, and i use shadowplay a lot to record past gameplay Should i look into 2070s if i wanna keep those features and get the same performance as a 5700xt?
  13. What do i compare it to against nvidia cards, is it similar to a 2070
  14. The red dragon is the same same price on amazon as the msi and xfx onw
