  1. Hello everyone. I replaced the keyboard on a laptop with an aftermarket that is backlit. The keyboard works perfectly fine, but there is nowhere to get power for the backlit on the laptop. I'm planning on making a circuit with battery, switch and the keyboard power cable. My questions are: 1) How much power does the keyboard reqire? keyboard amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0895HSCJ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_thAdGb6JR0FWR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&fbclid=IwAR0f0NuWijUDKHmrzTWpsnDZUfkAbxuWlA4JrQxlxR_s1ob4gbs4f_qZMFY 2) What should I connect to what? of course there is positive and negative, also probably ground, but what's the other? backup? *see image* Additionally, let me know if you think there something wrong with the plan, please let me know :D
  2. Hi, I want to open a server for a friends company that he does not remember the password and he doesn't want to lose all the previous data. I used the iseepasswords software to reset the password. After I used it, the password status went from "<unknown>" to "<blank>". Now I've started the machine but there is still a password. Just enter, space, password1234, <blank> doesn't work. I logged on to the iseepasswords software again and the password status was still "<blank>" as I had changed and left it before. Anyone knows what is going on? Also, I have the product key if it helps
  3. Cracked from pirate bay is just fine. Just be careful which you choose!!! That's what I have, but have in mind that not all cracked version get updates, and if it's security updates and you have sensitive stuff...well actually, if you do, don't use windows at all use both linux and windows
  4. Thank you both. It worked ! But now is has a graphical error where the computer goes in and out of sleep mode non-stop. I found that it's an Nvidia error. I'm working on it. Cheers everyone!
  5. Hello! I'm trying to put ubuntu 64-bit for a course in college into my old laptop, but it's shows me: "This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot – please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU". The laptop is a SONY vaio PCG-4V1M. I found solutions online only for virtual machines and options that I can't find in my bios. If you can help, I would be great. thank you!

  8. So, in a few hours I'm going to go out and take all the parts. I would really like some opinions on this. I'm planning this build to get the i7-8700k on 4,5 GHz and used it for pretty much a very big variety of stuff. CPU : Intel core i7-8700k Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 GPU: 2X Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB , in SLI RAM: 4X Corsair Dominator Platinum 8GB 2666 MHz PSU: Corsair HX Series HX1000 Storage: 2 M.2 Samsung 960 Evo NVMe // 4 3TB HDD in RAID 10 gpu's and cpu will be on costume watercooling loop. The only thing I'm worried about is the powerload. I will get the second 1070ti and make the cooling system in 3 weeks and I want to be sure that I'm making the right choice about the power. Would you change something? Thanks a lot! have a nice day!
