  1. I think it is possible with a cable from msata to sata... I know it is janky but as a proof of concept it would be cool to see
  2. Hi guys, I've just seen your video about RED mini Mags. I think you can try a mod with this product. It is a dual msata raid adapter, with raid 0/1 on board capability. it has sata and usb 3.0 (also 3.1 models available) to access the drives. Would be cool to see your solution!
  3. Hi guys,YouTube suggested me this video where it is being showed that RED mini Mags are just a mSATA with an adapter. I think you guys can build your own with all the tools you have! https://youtu.be/KEzLDqELh70
  4. As you can see in the image, there is a screw on the gear; this screw is used to tighten the gear on the flat side of shaft and lock it.
  5. On amazon you can find cheap good Arduino-compatibles (http://a.co/dNAWEL4). To drive your stepper motor I suggest you use the stepper drivers made for 3D printers (A4988 or DRV8825). The shaft of the motor has flat side to tighten screws on it; you can 3D print gears and sprockets, but it depends on how much torque you need! obviously print them in ABS 'cause PLA is too weak. You can find metal gears on eBay and Amazon btw.
