  1. and yes i am just starting to stream have wanted to try it for a while but my current pc drops to below 45 fps when trying which is unbarable for me, wana see if it is fun nothing more. and if i like ti maybe i want to provide better quality geting a 2nd pc with capture card etc, cause doing something might be fun, but doing it better is always more fun =)
  2. i first had a 1920x1080 + 1680x1050 setup, and got 100-120fps while gaming +vlc) with the i7 3770 + gtx 970 then 2x 1920x1080 +1680x1050 (borrowed a screen from a friend) then around 70-100 fps and now i have the 3 monitors as stated above. and i get anything between 45 and 80 with the 970 and nothing improved with the 1080 ti cause i think the cpu is throtling. @Freezoide
  3. as i said i want to try streaming, it is not the main purpouse of the build. if i stream i will later add a 2nd pc. my main concern is that i run multiple monitors and as i have seen when adding more screens my I7 3770 non k droped frames for me 20ish per monitor added
  4. Hey! i am building a new pc, which i intend to use mostly for gaming + multitasking (ie, youtube, vlc, chrome, music, visual studio, while playing games.) i also want to be able to stream at 720p 30 fps while i game at atleast 60 fps. and when i game+ multitask i wana push as many frames possibly 144hz at least. Monitor 1 monitor 2 (main screen) monitor 3 BenQ 60Hz AoC G2460PF 144hz AoC G2460PF 144hz all runing at 1920x1080p these screens are from my old pc and i will reuse them. i also have a 1080TI which i will use and i might use a gtx 970 or a gtx 760TI for one of my off screens ( monitor 1 or 3) Now to the hard choice i need a cpu that can keep up with me the 1080TI, streaming at 720p 30fps and the higher frame rates i want when gaming while not streaming. I want to try streaming, and if i think it is fun then maybe i get a second Pc with capture card for streaming purpouses. i am thinking of an i7 7700k kaby lake or a i7 6800k or 6850k or zen 1800x but i don't know if the 6800 and the 6850 is just the same processor at diffrent out of the box clockspeeds or what. is the i7 7700 the best option for frame pushing and will it be able to stream at 30fps while gameing at 60fps+ and will it give me 144fps while gaming and watching youtube/vlc + using chrome VS and other programs. baring in mind that i have 3 monitors not just one or should i go with more cores on my cpu to handle the loads ?
  5. Hey guys! seems i need to clarify a few things I already have 2 monitors at 144hz AoC G2460FP and 1 BenQ at 60hz all of them at 24" because anything larger than 24" is just plainly stupid imo for multiple displays, i have tried using a 27" but it is simply to large if u aren't sittin 2-3 meters away. my hardest choise is about what processor to get should i get any of the intel or the ryzen 1700x or 1800x, remember i multitask a lot, my i7 3770 has been ok but not great. and as to if i get a ryzen why would i get a 1700 instead of 1800 couldn't i clock the 1800 further on the same cooler? i want to get as good cpu as possible since imo it is easier to put in a new grhaphics card than to exchange a motherboard and cpu, which u most likely need to do at the same time. and if the difference in fps is 5-15 at 100+ then i might not care as much, but i want to stream at a solid 60 fps atleast so i don't drop below because that is why i don't stream today. and to what speeds can i truly clock a 1700 or a 1800, could i get a i7 6850k and oc it instead for better performance ? at 720p 30fps my game goes below 45 fps wich is unbarable for me, i se it as laggy, so don't come and tell me that 20 fps is ok to play with, yes 24 fps works in movies but that is because they deliver the frames at a constant rate, wich makes it somewhat smooth. and i probably want as large a radiator for my cpu as i can since as i said it gets really hot in my room, and i want to be safe. my old gtx 580 overheated multiple times because of it. when you guys talk about high speed ram do you mean 2666mhz ? because that seems to max setting for ryzen 7 it can't handle higher speeds. and remember i already have a gtx 1080TI so i don't have to save cash for a better gpu which ppl say a lot. as for the motherboard, the more hardrives i can put in the better. The case, i have something larger in mind maybe one in the Haf series or something modular, place for large radiator is needed and a few fans + i already have 3 hdd and 3 ssd and will probably expand more, not sure i have a total of 8.5 tb at the moment and i use about half of it now that i removed some stuff.
  6. Thx seems to be that the psu broke down, appriciate the help, have a nice day
  7. well budget and budget 1300 dollars i could go more or less but no more than 1600 dollars, but i want to have good frames and good streaming cause i am stupid i gues.
  8. ok so my pc is dying and if i can't get it to boot up again and play games on it, i want to build a new one. so what i want to use my pc for is mostly gaming, baring in mind i multitaks a lot, hence my 3x 1080p monitors 2 of them at 144hz. i would also like to be able to try some streaming (without droping to unbareble frame rates) and overcloking. MY CURRENT RIG: processor: i7 3770 non-K 3,4Ghz motherboard: msi b75a-g41 RAM: 16Gb ddr3 have had both my GTX 970 and 1080Ti (not getting more than 70 fps max and about 55 avg fps on any off the cards) 3x ssd, 120, 240, 250 gb 3x hdd 2TB + 2x 3TB in raid 0 what i will reuse from my old rig: i recently bought a 1080ti, which i am thinking of geting a refund on but not sure, i really want those 144 fps or atleast 100+ at high + settings. i have a gtx 970 which i am thinking of using for 1 or 2 of my offscreens but it might not boost my frames, and i don't play many games that use physX so no point in runing it as a physX card, or i'll give it to my brother who has a gtx 970, or sell it. i'll reuse all my hard drives i think, maybe put in a few extra along the line when i need more space. so what i need help with choosing is motherboard, cpu, ram, cooling, case. i am thinking of an i7 7700k kaby lake or a i7 6800k or 6850k or zen 1800x but i don't know if the 6800 and the 6850 is just the same processor at diffrent out of the box clockspeeds or what. i'll probably stick to 16 Gb of ram since it seems that i use about 10-13 gb of ram atm on avrage. about the motherboard i would like to have atleast 8 ports for hard drives and 2 pci-e x16, and i really like msi for this since i've had 1 motherboard for 10 years without fail and another for 5 years without fail (until now maybe don't know yet where the fault lies) both msi. but I am not looked to this. i'd like water cooling for my processor since i want to OC and my room gets really hot 24-25 degrees celcius. i have 3x 120mm fans and a 200mm fan that i just bougth + a 200mm fan from the old case. if i get my current pc to boot and work properly i will probably wait for the next gen processors to come out. budget around 1300 USD Btw i live in sweden if that helps. I'd appriciate any input you guys have on any of the topics.
  9. ok will try that later today maybe have an old psu i could use to check, thx for the reply much appriciated.
  10. when i say pc turned on, i mean it booted up normaly i could use chrome vlc everything but not play games. when i tried taht it turned off again, and a few times i could getg it back on, but now my pc is dead sadly
  11. Hey guys! need some help, my pc won't boot, a couple of days ago when i played starcraft 2 the pc just randomly shut down and then when i tried rebooting, the power turned on for about 1 sec and then powered of, after a few seconds the pc turned itself back on or 1 sec and then back off. contiously doing this until i turned off the power, after i waited about 15 sec and tried turning it on again and it worked no problems. until yesterday when i tried playing SC2 again, a couple of minutes in my pc turned off again, and wouldn't boot in the same maner as before. whence i figured that maybe there is a lose cable so i opened my case up and checked all the cabels and then tried turning it on again, miracousle my pc bootet once again without issue, but when i tried playing starcraft on it i just get into the loading screen and my pc shut of, when triying to boot again after a few failed atempts with the 1sec on 10 sec off failure, i finaly get to an error message oops etc etc 0x000021A which i look up, something about a corrupt system file or uppdate gone wrong, from here i try booting, booting in safe mode but nothing works i get the message that something went wrong while booting and it suggests restarting or advanced options, and i tried reboting several times and booting in safe mode but nothing works. after this i figure maybe windows is corrupt enough to not even alow me to boot, so i do a clean instal of windows 10 pro, and my pc finnaly booted up again, until i tried playing a game, same old boot up storie. so i figure maybe some part of my pc is breaking down, i pull out all but the os hard drive and try to boot, doesn't help take out my graphics card, no, take out my RAM (putting them back one at a time checking both individualy), nope. idk if my system specs are relevent in this case bat can post if needed, would apriciate the support guys, kinda frustrated over here, first day of in 7 daysof pure hell at work so would just like to sit down and play some games today. whyen i say pc turned on, i mean it booted up normaly i could use chrome vlc everything but play games.
