  1. Can anybody at least confirm that they've tried or attempted to install the game and it doesn't work?
  2. BUMP.... PLEASE HELP! I have installed "VirtualBox" and tried every Virtual Machine method and it still gives me errors. I can't get past the installation process. Can somebody please HELP!
  3. Hey guys, I decided to give this post another bump since the solutions that were posted here weren't helpful to me. I'm hoping that an expert would be kind enough to help me in this situation. I would really appreciate it!
  4. Please See Video. I have done just as the pcgamingwiki article says and "Directplay" is already checked. 2022-10-03 18-37-32.mp4 The game wont even install. I can't get past the installation screen. Thats why I asked if someone here would be kind enough to install it and see if it runs on their system. Its easy to say "yeah just use pcgamingwiki, it should be a piece of cake. It shouldn't be too hard, its not rocket science, running this is like tying your shoes and picking a leaf off the tree, its not that complicated" its a completely different story when you try to install it and get a error. btw why wasn't I notified of replies on this topic? I never received the email notification that people replied to this topic. I specifically came back (because I was under the impression no one responded) to bump this post. I believe there is a bug/glitch within your(whoever runs the forum) emailing notification system because I never got the alert someone commented on my post.
  5. HI, I use to play a game (for pc/windows) back in the 90's called "Boss Rally". It was a racing game that was released in 1999 for windows and I am trying to run it on my computer but it will not run (and I have no idea why). I was wondering if you guys can help me figure out why it is not running. The game was fortunately archived here (CLICK HERE) and available to download for free (as it is not available on steam nor any other retro gaming sites) and I downloaded the file. I extracted the file (and boi, that was hell to do because I had to do 10 different things in order to do 1 task). I then extracted/mounted the cue file and when I click on setup it appears to install like normal (giving me the normal dialog installation boxes) but then I get a "an error occurred during the move data process 113" message/error. I have tried everything to get this game to work and nothing works. I tried to run as administrator and it doesnt work, I tried to run in compatibility mode (Specifically "windows 98/windows me") and it doesnt work. Can someone help me to install this game. If you could, can you download the file for yourself (See Link Above Or CLICK HERE) and tell me if it works for you. I used to play this game a lot and specifically remember my computer couldn't handle it and remember how my computer struggled to run this game and I would really like to go back to nostalgia and play this game on the powerful computer that I have today.
  6. yeah but what about "Cloud Computing Services" in general that allow you to do heavy rendering and heavy tasks? I"m sure there are "Cloud Computing Services" that allow you to run Adobe Premier/Final Cut over the cloud. This was my original question WHICH IS WHY THIS TOPIC DIDN'T BELONG IN THIS SECTION. It just seems like people(Moderators/Administrators) didnt(and still aren't) reading the original topic properly. The reason why I included gaming was to make my topic more APPEALING for more answers. I didn't want to limit my topic to just "Cloud Processing" and thats why I included gaming in 8K gaming at 120fps to open the topic up for more suggestions. It doesn't seem like people are thoroughly reading the topic because every response is just focusing on gaming. So, let me try to rephrase my original question 2 questions again: The first question is are there other "Cloud Processing" services out there? (For example a lot of companies use Google Cloud Processors services for their tasks, so I'm assuming there are other other Cloud Processing servers on a consumer level) My second is "Why was this topic moved into the laptop section?" THIS TOPIC LITERALLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LAPTOPS OR PRE-BUILT SYSTEMS (I AM NOT BUILDING ANYTHING)
  7. Why was my original topic ( ) moved? It literally has nothing to do with laptops. Who is the moderator/administrator who moved my topic? Did you even attempt to read my post/topic?
  8. Why hasn't nobody helped or answered? I thought I would have received a plethora of answers or suggestions by now
  9. ummmm why was my topic moved to laptops and pre-built systems. This has nothing to do with laptops. I specifically created this topic in general discussion because this topic doesnt fit any of the subgenres. To the moderators, can you read? Was English your first language?
  10. so you're telling me that "Shawdow" is the only cloud service out there? There has to be more. I thought there would have been more cloud services out there. The reason why I brought up shadow is because it was the only service that I saw that was exactly what I was looking for and allowed me to use a computer just the way I would use it in real life, The only thing is, I didnt want to sign up for Shawdow if there was better cloud services that have more of the features that I want(Like the ability to have both MacOs and Windows). I was looking at Google Stadia and it looks like that is more for gaming and wouldn't allow me to run apps like "Final Cut Pro" or "Adobe Premier", so that seems like a no-go. There has to be other cloud services out there that allow you to run apps and are powerful enough to do 3D rendering (or at least has that kind of processing power in their cloud servers). I'm asking here because this is a tech forum and I assume that you guys would have a plethora of resources of Cloud Computing services and share pros and cons of each one.
  11. Like the title says I am looking for some good "Thin Client/Cloud Computing" companies to try........ Recently my computer broke down and just wont boot anymore and I'm getting tired of buying computers for it to go outdated every 2 years or for me have to have to keep buying expensive PC's. Over a 20 year span, I have spent close to $50K on computers(Gaming computers/laptops/tablets/) and I am not looking forward to buying another computer(especially for Christmas)............................ I was looking at this video and it got me thinking about trying something new, while trying to save money. Instead of me spending another $2000 right now on a computer, I want to try a "Thin Client/Cloud Computing" service. The problem is, I don't know where to start or where to go or get good recommendations. Basically I'm looking to be brought up to speed on cloud computing/thin client computing. I'm trying to learn everything I can before jumping in, I need to know pros and cons and all. I already have 200mb with a low ping, so internet is not a problem for me. If you guys can help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. If you guys must know, I'm looking for/my dream setup would be a good cloud computing client that will have both or allow me to run both MacOS and Windows (OMG, that would be such a beautiful setup). I want to be able to run any applications/programs(no restrictions). A good cloud client with HIGH END 3D RENDERING PROCESSING POWER is a must (If the CPU clocks are automatically overclocked to 7ghz with liquid nitrogen then that would obviously be a plus). I would also like to be able to do some gaming here and there, it would be cool if I can do 4K gaming with at least 70fps (I'm assuming that cloud computing has gotten so advanced that it could probably run demanding games at 8K resolution with 120 fps. If I am wrong, then FORGIVE ME. I'm just optimistic)
  12. Ohhhhhh I forgot to mention (it's in my other topic about fan noise within laptops) in regards to db levels. I meant to ask if you applied "Liquid Metal" along the heatpipes wouldn't that reduce the need for the fans to run as loud/much?
  13. Okay but (going back to my second question), the question about "Liquid Metal" in a laptop. If you take a small Q-tip/paint brush and applied "Liquid Metal" all along the heatpipes and maybe re-sealed the heatpipes in some type of protective (I don't know for example) adhesive or electric tape or silicon (or whatever they use), wouldn't that (in theory) make for better thermals?
  14. If you apply "Liquid Metal" along the heatpipes in a laptop wouldn't that improve thermal performance? Isn't the purpose of heatpipes (in Laptops) to assist with cooling and fans?
