  1. Hero boards are compatible with both AM3/AM4 coolers and LN2 pots. https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/overview/
  2. Sorry but RAID 0 is not useful for anything but SPEED. What you said is totally incorrect. http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/08/raid-levels-tutorial
  3. Its not your HD. First move, I always make for stutter problem is DDU, then install the drivers again. This sometimes fixes stutter problems.
  4. Officially, AMD does not support Ryzen CPUs on Windows 7. Microsoft has all but ended support for the OS; and ASROCK don't support it with this motherboard..... I have a problem installing .... x y z ... The reason it does not work will be numerous. So continue finding new ways to kill Windows 7 or learn to use Windows 10... oh look it works just like a bought one. Let me know does Windows 3.11 for Workgroups or Win95 still work or having issues installing it as well ?
  5. I run 1440p at 165hz ... had to tick 144hz thats a 12.7% less..... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  6. Who built the system, might be time to ask a expert. Why did you pull bios battery and not know setup ?
  7. Fairly unlikely you had RAID... I see two devices.
  8. So your on stock bios ? with +20deg CPU heat reporting for 1800x and wondering about 60-70deg which is actually 40-50. What was you problem ? Yes you should update to latest bios from gigabyte website for your motherboard.
  9. WHY? There isn't hardware issue. That's utter waste of time.
  10. yeah maybe should not jump the gun if you not sure what is causing a stop error. I don't know you m/board sure someone can help here.
  11. Could be a bad sata or whatever SSD data cable your using. Replace the data cable with another one and see if your issue continues. (try another port is you suspect m/board as possible cause) SSD don't normally need to be formatted FYI just shorting there very very very long lives by a little doing it and to my knowledge is a pointless waste of time (fast format {fake} excluded). Assuming Windows 10 only you should change partition from MBR to GUID. Most are still shipped backwards OS compatible or MBR format.
  12. Typically this error is your CPU but I doubt anything bad is going on or has happened to it. The CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error occurs when the processor is having trouble with cooperation from its cores and threads. Threads are tasks taken by cores, and some cores can take many threads simultaneously. The problem here is that a thread is waiting for a proper response from another thread — or a core is waiting for a response from another core — and those responses aren’t coming. Therefore, you typically get this BSoD error. While this is a processor problem (CPU), this is typically caused by two things: a driver error, which is very likely or the OS itself isn’t playing nice with the processor. Anyway just my thoughts about your issue as described. What can you do ? You might be able to get your OS back using system restore to earlier time when it was working. You maybe able to SAFE boot but normally this wont work. If you cant then can try doing OS reset should fix it, don't forget to keep your personal files unless there isn't anything worth keeping then go with a clean install.
  13. That would be your hardware issue right there....
  14. no and no try DDU of the driver for video card then reinstall. Make sure Direct X is fully updated.
