ThatTechKid got a reaction from PCGuy_5960 in I7 or I9?
Do the Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. It has a better price per performance ratio. And it is much, much faster. I know you won't get the motherboard you wanted in the first place, But there is lots of X399 Motherboards to look at. Good luck at your next computer!

I quickly did research on single core scores. And the i9 is good for the OP.

Ok. Fine with me. Then the i9 is a good option right now.

Definitely EVGA. They are the absolutley best when it comes to RMA. Thats why for my next PC build I am going to buy a EVGA graphics card.

ThatTechKid got a reaction from Helix_Exton in What will the specs be on a computer in 2025?
Umm. $80 dollar 16 core 32 thread cpu. 6.5 GHz 64 core and 128 thread CPU from AMD for $599.99 CAD. 10TB U.2 SSD for the same price as a 5TB 7200RPM HDD. 1TB of DDR7 for $499.99
That's just my estimate

ThatTechKid got a reaction from The Benjamins in Ryzen 1700, i7 7700, or wait for i7 8700
Hey. I have decided to go with the AMD Ryzen 7 1700 due to great OC and Editing performance.
If you want to see the part list, Go here: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/2Fp3Yr
Yeah. It's super overkill.

Hmmm. It's only a 6 core, and you can get a faster and moar cored (is that a phrase?) CPU, the R7 1700, for the same price.

Insane deal. But with AMD Ryzen, you can get +2 Cores and threads with the R7 1700 CPU. Lower clock speeds, but worth it if you are looking at a new CPU.

If your on a budget. Ryzen 5 1600. The i5 does not have Hyper-Threading and the Ryzen does. Also, +2 Cores and Threads. Great deal.
