  1. So I have a friend who newly built a PC and I was following up with it. She installed Windows10 latest version, Nvidia drivers and everything including MSI Afterburner, and everything was working perfectly fine. Then she opened afterburner, left everything to default, and moved ONLY the clock and memory sliders all the way to the right and hit apply, then CLOSED it. The computer went to black screen and since then it doesn't even post. She tried to restart, turn it off and on, unplug the screen and then plug it in back, but no luck. Everything turns on including the screen but it stays completely black. The PC specs: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus TUF x570 wifi Motherboard ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2060 Twin Fan CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB Samsung 970 EVO CORSAIR RMX Series (2018), RM650x The LED on the motherboard shows a white color which according to the manual it means an issue with VGA. Is there a solution to this or did she break something? SOLVED! Steps followed: Unplugged the PSU from the wall Had to take off the GPU to access the MB battery Took off the battery from the MB and waited for 10 minutes (just what NWC Pc benchmarks did) Put everything back and turned it on This time, it turned on and post Went to safe mode and uninstalled Afterburner (just what JayTwoCents did)
  2. Yes, I couldn't find any better deal than this. But also, I can't find any reviews that could tell me more about the performance and temperatures.
  3. So I am thinking about getting a laptop for engineering applications, modelling and simulations. Programs used include MIDAS GTS NX, ANSYS, Solidworks and some more. Types of analysis are nonlinear static and dynamic time history analysis. So I was looking at this laptop and it caught my attention. Anyone has used it? Do you recommend it? How good is it for my workload? CPU: i7-8750H GPU: Quadro P2000 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154877 Thanks.
  4. Hi, so the case here is I need to buy new headphones since my Bose SoundSport® in-ear headphones have died (which I loved a lot) after using them for 3 years. The new pair needs to be in-ear headphones, comfortable, high-quality sound, have a mic and with a price range of $100-150. I am a little bit leaning towards wireless but I am open for the suggestions. One more thing to note, they need to be easy to fold and put in a pocket and small, so I don't prefer those wireless ones with that neckband part in them. To summarize my thoughts here: -Headphones type: in-ear headphones -Main concerns: sound quality and comfort -Price range: $100-150 -Phone OS: Android I thought about getting the same Bose ones I had but if you guys have better options I would love to hear that. Thanks! 5. It is for a new build so it's important to me to choose the right one since it is not cheap
  6. This is actually for a new build and I'm a bit confused in choosing one.
  7. Yes I totally agree but I'm trying to take some opinions especially from those who used both. I'm new here so I don't know how to add a poll if you can tell I'd pretty much appreciate it
  8. Yes actually that's why I'm asking for advice, it is NVME but it seems like no one is bothering to buy and at the same price range Samsung is still taking the lead even though EVOs are slower. Thanks for the advice it helps a lot.
  9. Ok guys, need an advice here. Which one should I buy since both are almost the same price on Newegg? Intel SSD 600p Series 512GB = $183 SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB = $180 I couldn't find a comprehensive comparison between the two models although I prefer to take an advice from someone who used both. Most reviews used 256GB model of Intel 600p which has slower R/W speeds. The SSD will be used for the system of course and some heavy games and programs.
  10. Well, looks like I will be getting either a Kraken x62 or some high end air cooler .. thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts!
  11. Well, that was so informative video. Thanks a lot for sharing .. I will definitely look into some high end air coolers
  12. Looks like I will be looking into Kraken x62 since silence is very important in this build, thanks for the info
