Why don't some threads get answered and it's really annoying to deal with because sometimes it's urgent

  1. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

I try to answer most of them, but I'm unavailable for a large portion of the day.

  2. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Yeah but sometimes newer threads get more answers and it's annoying when you have something that you don't know how to fix/deal with

  3. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

Oh, you mean in the sub-forum, not "new threads"! I don't usually look into each sub, but I think I may start doing so.

  4. SSL

    SSL

Because no one who is able or willing to answer reads the thread. LTT isn't a 24-hour support service and no one is entitled to have their thread answered, regardless of "urgency" or "importance".

It's also likely that threads aren't answered because regulars here are sick of answering the same questions over and over again. Talk about really annoying to deal with.

  5. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Well it's annoying for both people but it's what makes the world go round

  6. SSL

    SSL

Not really. It's a problem with how this forum is run.

    @SSL nailed it.

Not everyone knows everything. It just might be that there isn't anyone on that can answer the question. It's better to wait for an informative reply than get an answer that's either not helpful, or just plain wrong. If it's urgent, there are support lines you can call.

  9. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Yeah I know but I don't like talking to people that make me wait for hours on end when I have other stuff to do

  10. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

@dizmo Even then, there may a member that can help and, if possible, mentioning them could help to draw attention for whenever the member is available.

  11. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Oh yeah but I don't know who's experienced in what but what I have to do to get my system running is long as hell

  12. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

You'll learn in time. I knew the position that a sub-woofer should have, but I still mentioned @Dackzy since he's more knowledgeable than I am.

  13. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Ok I will remember as much as possible in troubleshooting

  14. dizmo

@ARikozuM while that's true, he's making it seem like he's entitled to help and that it's others jobs to provide it to him. Which it absolutely is not. It's his entitled attitude that's off-putting.

  15. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Well I really can't tell how I'm acting sometimes with my attitude idk why but I know that my family is messed up a little bit

  16. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

It may seem like entitlement, but I've always been the "pay it forward" type of man. Better to do good for others and hope that they'll do the same when it's their turn.

  17. Dackzy

    Dackzy

Not in the best emotional state right now, but what's up? I got summoned by @ARikozuM

  18. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Yeah I try to do that's but sometimes I get pissed and I literally don't give a shit what people say to me

  19. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

    @Dackzy he wasn't saying you're more knowledgeable than @ARikozuM

  20. Dackzy

    Dackzy

    uhm what? He summoned me.

Is there something I can help with or should I go back to doing what I was doing?

  21. Billy_Mays

    Billy_Mays

Just go back I meant you're more knowledgeable than he is

  22. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

Sorry for the confusion, @Dackzy, just stating what I usually do when a thread is unsolvable by myself and I know another member that is apprised in whatever the thread is heading towards.

  23. Dackzy

    Dackzy

    what thread?

  24. ARikozuM

    ARikozuM

The thread that I mentioned you in a few days ago. I'll usually answer with whatever I may know and mention some others who would know more as well in case I'm wrong or correct.

  25. Dackzy

    Dackzy

huh you mentioned me in a thread a few days ago?

I am very busy at the moment, lots of shit to deal with
