  1. i really like your layout, how are you going to manage airflow?
  2. since i barley have any tools for this kind of work, my main work is going to be planning and getting accurate measurements and fabricating the pieces with a CNC probably
  3. well, i'm basicly converting my tower into the desk, making thsi desk pc is basicly a dream come true for me. The whole computer is going to be closed under a glass, i might make holes in the back for easy access since you're saying a docking station will impact performance. i think the only thing i'm missing would be 4 fans for intake and outtake and a USB dock for easy access for usb sticks and stuff did you encounter anything you didn't anticipate in your build?
  4. So, i'm plannig on making a desk pc from scrach, this si going to be my first project of this kind so i'm going to do all the research i can about it and i have a few questions if you guys could answer =] 1.What do i need to take into count exactly? so far i've taken into count the width, length, and depth ofc, i've taken into count the size of the fans i'm going to be using, i've made myself a layout for all the parts inside and how i see them in my vision, i've taken into count cable managment and also have the option to upgarde my system and add liquid cooling later when i need to. 2.i'm looking for a powerless docking station so i can make a special place for it so i wont have to go inside the computer desk ever, but i couldn't find any docking station that fits what i'm looking for. i'm looking for a docking station that doesn't need to be connected to external power, 2 DVI ports and another HDMI(Optional), USB ports, Ethernel port, and sound\mic ports Also, could anyone explain to me how this works? the docking stations i've seen only need one USB connected into them in order to extend it to all these ports? seems like something that could fail easily to me... 3.Should my intake fans and outtake fans be on different ends of the desk? i'm planning on using 2 RGB 120mm fans for intake and another 2 RGB 120mm fans for outtake, these are the fans i will switch for liquid cooling when upgrading my parts in the future. 4.will installing an electric devider be a smart idea? instead of having wires going into the wall everywhere i'm thinking of making a special palce for an electric devider. anything else you guys think i forgot about? Thanks for all the help in advance =]
  5. Will do, i probably will upgrade the GPU to a 1070\1080 and i will make room for it in the current build aswell. Anything else i should pay attention to? should i get a higher W PSU already or will getting a too powerfull PSU dmg my computer?
  6. Hi, i'm new around here and i couldn't find any information concerning what i'm looking for around the web - which is very surprising. being a long time sub to the youtube channle i thought i'd try here =] I'm planning on making a DIY desk PC, i have my basic layout planned out and i'm gonna start building it as soon and i get all the materials since i need some measurements. i've got a few questions and would like all the help i can specs: Intel Core i5 4670 Haswell 3.4Ghz 6MB L3 Cache s1150 Scythe Katana 4 CPU Cooler Gigabyte GA-Z87M-D3H LGA1150, Intel Z87, DDR3 1600 G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz Gigabyte GTX780 3GB GDDR5 DX11 Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EZEX 1TB Sata III SeaSonic 650W Active CoolerMaster N500 Mid Tower ATX as you can see by this spec my pc is a few years old and i will probably upgrade some parts like the GPU and CPU. basicly my PSU died last week and before getting it changed i figrued i need to know which PSU i'm going to need to support this build. This is going to be my first project of this kind and i have absolutly no idea what i should take into count. i'd want to build liquid cooling into it - even though my system does not need it and was wodering which parts i can salvage from my pervious desktop pc and which parts i would need to buy. according to my plan i'm going to need: 2 fans for sucking air into the system i'm probably going to upgrade the motherboard and maybe the CPU itself. i'm probably going to change the GPU to a 1070 1 res for the cooling liquid 1 pump and an radiator
