  1. Thanks, I wasn't doubting the choice. Just curious
  2. Can I ask why you recommend those ones in particular. Thanks
  3. I reposted the link I reposted the link at the bottom of the post
  4. I have a Mac laptop myself and have experienced my fair share of boot camp issues so macs are out on this case.
  5. That's what I was thinking myself, I'm not big on laptop knowledge. forgot to add it's gotta be windows, no macs due to program restrictions
  6. Flashy is not on the criteria, she doesn't really care what it looks like to some degree. But the overall school aspect is of key importance.
  7. Looking at a laptop for graphic Design for a friend, she's going to be using 3DS max, photoshop and unity and the bonus of decent gaming as well is a big bonus but not a necessity. Looking at this one: Best Buy Laptop Is this a good choice? Or can someone recommend a better option Budget: 2000$ CAD Thanks. http://m.bestbuy.ca/defaultpage.aspx?lang=en#/catalog/productdetails.aspx?ajax=true&lang=en-ca&pcname=&sku=10573741
  8. When will it be available in canada or canadian websites?
  9. like that option as well but i think ill probably go for ryzen, although I'm not dead set on it I've been convinced for the streaming option i think that will work better for me. do not worry about the over cost on peripherals as I'm sure things i will need once its setup will still add to the overall cost
  10. not worried about being "flasher" per say, as being my first my build i want a clean straight look. so not worried about the colour too much. i do retract my statement about the case though. some nice looking builds sit in the case, i did forgot to add in the original post i need wifi. (its temporary home at the start will need some wifi capability)
  11. now is the ti worth going for right now as it is so new?
  12. suggestions for maybe a better case, seems pretty basic/boring.
  13. Well as you can see this is why i am asking:
  14. 1. Budget & Location: Canada - Budget: 1600-2100$ (unsure, but within that bracket) 2. Aim: Running AAA games on high/ultra settings for the foreseeable future hopefully at 4K. Would like to be able to stream/record games as well if it's within that budget. The build is strictly for gaming and the usual web browsing but if it's possible for streaming/recording all the better. 3. Monitors: Currently looking at using my 4K tv as a monitor but unsure wether that will work, (have another topic posted on the forums right now TV discussion.) will also look at 2 monitors later on in time. But for now hopefully using the TV 4. Peripherals: Will need a keyboard and mouse (going to be based on good reviews/community suggestion) 5. Why are you upgrading? Currently own a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) loved my laptop, done for the last 1.5 years for what i needed but looking to return to the PC master race of gaming and as we all know my mac won't do that. Will still be keeping the macbook though for general/portable options. 6. Extra's: good quality wifi is definitely needed for the first few months once it is built, also its new home is unfortunately dust heavy as where i life it cannot be avoided so suggestions to combat that are much appreciated if it will affect the add ons of the build itself.
