  1. @SteveGrabowski0 @N1ghtshade I disagree with you both. I think he's just a perfectionist. Especially when building a pc for someone like Terry Crews. Especially because he will get so many new viewers. He wants the best of the best, and that can come off as whiny. But he has his reasons.
  2. I have never seen people be so petty as in this threat. If the content is still good, no need to worry about the 300 pixels of JPEG or text you click to get to it. On the other hand, it seems like you don't really like the LTT content anymore, @AluminiumTech. Which is all fine and dandy. But going so far as to try and boycott the people the very forum you peruse. That's ridiculous and petty. Especially if you talk about ethics. Thumbnails are thumbnails. Nothing illegal or shady is being done here. It's a proven method that works. Don't enjoy it, unsub and don't look back. Not that hard.
  3. Season 5 is filmed and in editing now. Just a matter of time, it'll be out soon... ...To floatplane members
  4. Yeah, I'm now watching SCY4 again. And I like it, but the reality show-ish format and the focus on modding do make it less interesting then the previous 3 imo. Scouring for modding parts is, imo, less interesting then scouring for cheap but awesome PC parts that miraculously preform well or completely shit the bed. The stakes seem lower in Season 4, for some reason. Which lessens the tension that's prevalent in previous seasons. It's still good binge-watching content, though. And the modding crew does make up for the lessened tension with likeability.
  5. I actually just rewatched SYW3, and it got bumped up in my list. It's now on par with 2. In my mind, the fact that there was no price maximum detracted from it. But it actually got the tension even higher, since Performance per Dollar was so important and the competitors didn't know each others prices. Yeah, starting on 4 now.
  6. Nintendo. Can't help it. Been like that since I was a kid. I just like how the Switch is kind of a "return to form". I really like the device, despite its shortcomings.
  7. I like the ones with a tight budget, which facilitates creativity and scouring. So Season 1 and 2, imo. I liked 3 too, but I think a set max for the PC would've made it better. Austin was awesome, though, and the "best value" approach did make it interesting. the 900 bucks budget for season 4 made it less exciting. I thought the PCs were cool, but I wonder what they would've come up with creatively with even less money, like 500 bucks or something. Having more/restrictive boundaries would've heightened creativity.
  8. There was another topic about this same type of complaint. But I don't get it. LTT isn't completely a tech channel, but it never was. I think that comparing LTT to top Gear is a fair comparison. It's kinda informative, but mostly super entertaining. And the more popular they become, the more balls-to-the-wall content they can make through more valuable sponsorships and weirder review samples. I like their weird builds, stupid alternatives but eventual solutions and sarcastic sponsored build. And just like the top Gear specials were, sometimes there's this magic video. like scrapyard Wars, Whole Room Watercooling and the like. I think, in the end, you come away entertained and more informed. Complaining about how tech is handled and how LTT approaches some subjects is completely moot, imo.
