SirFido got a reaction from RusselTheMuscle in Temps while gaming
These temps are on the warmer part of the spectrum, but definietly acceptable. Nothing to worry about.

r5 2600 is better value and you can overclock on a aftermarket cooler
r5 2600x is better if you dont plan on touching overclock.
id suggest grabbing the r5 2600 and a B450 Tomahawk board and 2*8GB 3000mhz Ram.
its the other way around. 2600 if you are getting seperate cooler and/or overclocking.
r5 2600x if you dont plan on overclocking or getting a better cooler.
the r5 2600 is the better buy since is is significantly cheaper.

terrible combo then.
grab a r5 2600 instead. it should open budget for some extra or a better GPU.

SirFido reacted to MrExtrodius in The Software Linus/LMG Used To Model A Computer?
In a linus video i'm pretty sure I remember someone using a 3d modeling program that had like tons of saved models from the community, and they used it to model a computer build. I really want to know what software this is but I don't remember what video it was so I can't go look for myself.
If anyone knows thatd be great.

SirFido reacted to JamieTurd in HDD burned smell doest work at all 6Tb samsung seagate usb3 drive
If there was actually some kind of burning in the HDD them it wouldn't be too surprising if your data was gone. But you could try data recovery services, there are some free ones.

AMD States that 1.35 volts is the ceiling for OC. sure you can go higher, but at your own peril. i've already blown through one 1700X exceeding this voltage, and i'm apt to state that they're guidance should be followed.

AIDA64 can detect instability and shut the test down before it crashes the system (it's not doing it successfully always though). Your overclock isn't stable.
Either back down your overclock or apply more voltages. Can't suggest what you should do between those two as I'm not familiar with the AMD platform.

SirFido got a reaction from Memorizer in Recommend me a Keyboard!
I went out and bought the k55 to test for you; It feels like a mechanical keyboard not laptop one, just less "mechanical". It feels really good tho

SirFido reacted to AnonymousGuy in What to do when CPU fails
Completely unplug the computer for a few minutes (from the wall), and then try again.
Also do a Clear CMOS / bios reset.

SirFido reacted to PineyCreek in 4K GPU for Gaming
Clarification, RX Vega. The 1080Ti will rock your 4k, but it would be good to wait until prices stabilize after the mining craze dies a bit, as well as after RX Vega debuts and you can see if it may be better for you.

I hate to tell this to you, but this post is so long that no one is going to take the time to read it.

SirFido got a reaction from Malicius in screen Help
@Maliciusi think your gpu is bottlenecking your current setup, maybe invest in a better one? Your CPU and ram is good too, its just your gpu that is holding you back.
I would buy a 212 Evo CPU cooler and a cheap gtx 1060 maybe? With the cooler you could do some overclocking too
Its just an idea (:

G-Sync is not as important for a 144hz monitor. I would try this one

SirFido got a reaction from BingoFishy in Poll: Safety features on newer cars
Cars kill lot of people = bad
Cars kill few people = good
If you're gonna drive a car for the "sport" of it, then go to a race. Normal everyday driving is not a sport

SirFido got a reaction from Nancy the Girl in how often do you clean your PC from dust ?
Yes it is important. A lot of dust in the dust-filters may cause a little less air to get pushed through, hense lower cooling preformance. When it comes to dust in your computer it does not matter as much, unless you have dust in your heatsinks. Then you need to clean
