Gtx 1060 6Gb or gtx 1070 8gb for 1080p 60hz?
xyameax replied to Harshil1996's topic in Graphics Cards
I personally use a 1070. It all depends on what games you are wanting to play. If playing older titles from 2015 and before, a 1060 6GB is more than enough to run games at 1440P in DSR (Running in higher resolution then downsampled to 1080P) and running Ultra Settings without Anti-Aliasing. There will always be price drops in the 1070, 1080, and even the 1060 on some days, just have to wait for them. What games do you want to play? -
Who still uses a Dedicated Portable Music Player?
xyameax replied to BlueChinchillaEatingDorito's topic in Audio
I have this USB Thumbdrive that also doubles as an MP3 player, though I usually my Galaxy S7 Edge, or move some tracks to my Moto 360 1st Gen SmartWatch. -
Audio and video tracks lose sync :(
xyameax replied to skillz22's topic in Photography and Videography
Exactly what Electronics Said. If you are also not already, try using your voice or sound cues from Windows (Adjusting Master Volume) and Trying saying 1-2-3 while doing something on the computer, then record what you were doing.- 20 replies

I would highly recommend the Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury. I have been using this mouse for about 2 years now and holds up very well. Pros: Adjustable DPI settings Reprogramable buttons (Both Overall and Individual Program) Minimalistic Design Can be used on Glass and Reflective Materials Neutral: 6ft USB Cable Single Blue LED (Either Pulse, Adjustable Brightness, Off) Only 8 buttons Requires Logitech Software to adjust everything Cons: Can catch on some surfaces Non-Braided Cable Non-Weight Adjustable All-in-all a great mouse to use for casual to FPS Competitive, but going MOBA and MMO will require a higher mouse. Although Not New in the 30-35 max, here is Amazon Deutschland in Used. https://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B00LFBEOUA/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

Sounds like the actual connection to the ISP was down for a moment. Either that or the router was doing a soft restart which kept the WiFi on to connect, but no internet access.

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/ If it hasn't already gone to this address, here is the German PCPP website. If you want to use only one retailer like Amazon Deutschland, then while creating a system build, choose a part (CPU for Example) and while viewing it, on the left hand side should be "Show Merchants", where you would click and choose Amazon Deutschland.

You could use one. But then need to use separate HDD adapters for USB, unless there is a way to connect all of them to the IO ports cheaper.
-
You can use a cheap motherboard, cpu, and ram and put it in the computer, then connect the drives that way. What is your budget on the project?
-
What you can do is if the old case has an Operating System already on it, you can share each of the connected drives as a windows computer on My Network Places. Are the drives already connected inside or are they outside of the enclosure.

Will a Platinum PSU save money on my power bill?
xyameax replied to DELTAprime's topic in Power Supplies
The power supply only powers the electronics inside. The platinum just means it can reach its peak power usage with more stability. Edit: I am wrong in this case because Efficiency and Stability are not synonyms. -
Like everyone else is saying, use http://www.pcpartpicker.com for build a compatible PC.

I am not saying all keys are bad, just in terms of recommendation, using these services, even if legal in some countries, is not the best in all, especially from gray markets. It may be cheaper to use a key from Kinguin or G2A, it is still a gray market known for nefarious practices that I can not endorse, especially here on the forums. Like I said before, using an insider preview ISO from Microsoft itself is still a full version of Windows, and activated, but is still a beta build. Edit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewiso?wa=wsignin1.0 it requires you to create a Microsoft Account and apply to the Insider Preview program, but you will be able to download the ISO from there.

Don't know which task/process to end. HELP!!!
xyameax replied to GoofyBiscuit's topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
The best way to test is by going into Safe Mode and try uninstalling and reinstalling in there. -
Gray markets recently have talked about games, like G2A, but even those keys are done by either from received keys or even to the extent of Credit Card fraud, which is nefarious. http://www.polygon.com/2015/2/9/8006693/the-truth-behind-those-mysteriously-cheap-gray-market-game-codes http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2979288/error-activate-w10pro.html Just a few articles regarding it. The gray market when doing prices is a bad idea, especially with some nefarious practices these retailers have.

Don't at all get the 710. The onboard graphics of your chip might do better.

how to stop windows 10 hover preview on files
xyameax replied to Hotdogs&bbqsauce's topic in Windows
Glad I could help. I never saw that before and I have been using Insider Preview. Anyways, have fun! -
I am only using it to factor into the cost. If we wanted to cut costs, we could always use the Insider Preview ISO from Microsoft and use those. They are pre-activated, and come with the latest software. The downfall is the chance of crashes. That is free to use and still a legitimate. I didn't ignore the kinguin, using gray market or cracked applications is against the Forum Rules, which is one of the reasons I keep bringing up OS costs.

how to stop windows 10 hover preview on files
xyameax replied to Hotdogs&bbqsauce's topic in Windows
It looks like you are using a different file explorer. By chance, are you using a Start Menu replacer? -
Where is the OS? That is what he will be needing in the build.

@DocSwag you forgot the Windows 10 Key. The RX 460 4GB is a great card to begin with and not much of a bottleneck to the CPU CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor (£55.20 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: MSI B250M PRO-VD Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£63.33 @ Alza) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws 4 series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (£59.30 @ Amazon UK) Storage: Western Digital RE3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£34.99 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon RX 460 4GB WINDFORCE OC Video Card (£104.92 @ Amazon UK) Case: Thermaltake Versa H15 MicroATX Mid Tower Case (£31.97 @ Ebuyer) Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£58.95 @ Amazon UK) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit (£85.80 @ CCL Computers) Total: £494.46

While looking at this, you could get a Ryzen 7 1700 (which performs almost identical to the 1600x) and use the included CPU cooler and get an aftermarket at a later date. The overclocks at the moment aren't much higher on aftermarket air coolers. That is something to consider if you are getting everything right now.

Although the following isn't a full idea, it is my sight and the relative performance amongst everything. For those who are not aware, Project Scorpio is Xbox's answer to delivering True 4K gaming to the Seated Console Gamers. It is said to have 6 Teraflop (TFlops) of Graphics Power, which beats the Playstation 4 Pro's 4 TFlops. A Teraflop is the calculation of unit of computing speed equal to one million million floating-point operations per second. This can be anywhere from shadows to how light reflects of a piece of armor, to everything else the gamer can see in a scene. The information in the article and on Xbox Project Scorpio Web Page states new information like: - 326 GB/s Memory Bandwidth - 2.3 GHz Custom CPU - Vapor Cooling (Liquid Cooling) - 12 GB of GDDR5 The article and a lot of reviewers have this system up against High End video cards like the GTX 1070, 1080, and the 1080TI. Now the Nvidia GTX 1080 has 9 TFlops, and the 1080TI has 11.3. This in itself is a much larger number than 6, especially if you are comparing the PS4 Pro with only 4. If that little jump can deliver real 4K gaming, what could 9 and 11 give? Now the Scorpio does have more GDDR5 than any of the cards above with 8 GDDR5, but the difference here is that the Console uses that GDDR5 as system memory as well, so while the memory is there, it isn't all there for One Specific Game. This is not to say that the Scorpio is not a great machine. The Graphics horsepower is very similar to the AMD RX 480, which has up to 8GB of GDDR5, 6TFlops of Graphics Power, and costs $210 in some retailers. This RX 480 is a Recommended VR graphics card, which can handle 2560x1440 at 90FPS. This is 3.7 million pixels in a single frame, then multiplying it by 90 in a single second is 331.8 million pixels. 4K Resolution is 3840x2160, which is 8.3 million pixels in a single frame, or 497.7 million pixels in 60 seconds. The RX 480 can handle GTA V at 30FPS at 4K on High Settings Preset, though this will include MSAA, a way of dejagging the edges on objects. At higher resolutions, it is not as necessary to do, which puts more horsepower into something the human eye can not easily distinguish. Now at 1080P, this is a much more noticeable change and can put improvements in not only screenshots, but in real gaming in distinguishing a person's head from a bush. The next thing to talk about is the 2.3 GHz chip vs the 2.1 GHz of the PS4 Pro. Although it says Custom CPU and not Jaguar, it is a very good chance that the chip is still the same architecture and can handle itself pretty well. Now most of this information provided above comparing the Scorpio to a PC is to show that the Xbox in itself is not as powerful as a high end PC. Gaming PCs start at a modest $400-$500 and can go up to the high prices many people are familiar with. The biggest difference though between Consoles and PC is fragmentation. Fragmentation is the amount of differences in an ecosystem, and since PCs have an almost infinite amount of hardware configurations while a console usually has one, optimization for the platform means more time working with one platform to get the max amount of frames possible while also making it look like a masterpiece. Optimization is what will drive the Scorpio to be a major competitor in gaming because if developers work with a very small amount of fragmentation, the game will be at it's best performance and quality much more quickly and easily than the PC market. In conclusion, the Xbox Scorpio is showing to be a great console, but not a high end pc. It is rather a mainstream class PC with optimizations that can make it perform like a high end machine. Now for my personal predictions for the console, I would say price would be around $450 because cost of production is usually cheaper than actual retail price. The price of a RX 480 is $200 and using VRAM as system memory could be a cheaper solution. A mobile CPU chip could be around $120-$150, and cooling could be $40-$50, Board maybe $40. and Case at $10-20 could put the machine at around $450, and this is with retail pricing, all of this can be cheaper in production.

http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/amd-ryzen-5-1400-gets-first-gaming-video-comparison-intel-core-i5/#ixzz4dHjXktBk In the article and video, it shows how the lowest end CPU of the Ryzen 5 compares to Kaby Lake and the cheapest Pentium g3258 using 2600MHz speed and an Overclock to 3.8GHz. The interesting thing that intrigues me is that the CPU usage in the games done in the video never reached 100%, but was close in Hitman and Tomb Raider. Performance wise, the chip offers close to i5 Kaby Lake performance, while being $30 cheaper depending on where you are. If optimized, what would performance be like compared to an i5?
