  1. I think I managed to work out how to fix the issue. If anyone else has the same issue, i suggest you read through here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chrome/s5S1uPI0kMc/B3b8qVaTCAAJ Specifically these instructions are what fixed it for me: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chrome/s5S1uPI0kMc/b2Mud3SKCgAJ Hopefully someone finds this useful, good luck.
  2. Yeah, I just tried again but it didn't work. Might it have something to do with where chrome is installed? Currently installed at C:\Program Files (x86)
  3. I tried what you suggested, but it didn't to work. I uninstalled google chrome, then searched for any file with "chrome" in the name and deleted anything that looked related to google chrome.
  4. Ah ok, it was a new computer so it shouldn't be an issue, but I'll check my old hdd's to see if they're the problem.
  5. You might be right, however I have tried a fresh install several times without syncing my settings and still receive the problem.
  6. Hi thanks for your help, Unfortunately "automatic detect settings" was already unchecked as suggested in your first link. I've also already got my DNS server address set to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, is it worth changing it to 1.1.1.1?
  7. I posted this on reddit /r/chrome, but nobody was able to help. I'm hoping anyone here might know anything. I've been having problems with Chrome constantly loading websites extremely slowly, websites that normally load in a second are taking 10+ seconds and then sometimes failing to load it at all. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling chrome 6 times, I tried disabling extensions, allowing it in firewall, unsyncing everything in Chrome. I've noticed when it happens, if I open up Microsoft Edge and it loads a page, then chrome immediately loads whatever wasn't loading before. Please help, I am this close to giving up on Chrome altogether.
  8. I recently rebuilt a computer with new motherboard (ASRock z390 pro4), ram (16 GB, 3200mhz), CPU (i5 9600k) and nvme (Samsung 970). First time building by myself, but everything has gone fine up until now. I'm in the process of doing windows updates and seems to be going extremely slowly. It's been installing "feature update to windows 10, version 1803" and has only gone from 67% to 70% in about an hour. Task manager says its operating between 60-100% most of the time, but it only seems to be getting a read speed of < 1MB/s and write speed <10MB/s most of the time. It also says CPU utilisation is <5% and ram 2.9GB/16GB Is this normal? Or have I done something wrong?
  9. Oh ok, thanks is for that. I wasn't sure whether that would be an issue or not. In that case, will I have any issues connecting my old SSD with the old OS on it while booting from the Nvme?
  10. I'm going to be rebuilding my PC soon with new motherboard, CPU, ram, and adding a 500gb NVME SSD boot drive. I'm currently using a 128gb data SSD as my boot drive, as well as a 500gb SSD for games and two 2 TB HDDs for videos, music, pictures etc. I feel like my current SSD has slowed down over time so I am leaning towards doing a fresh install of windows on my nvme, then transferring any data I want to keep from my old SSD, then reformatting it. Is this my best option? Or would migrating my old OS + data to the nvme, using Samsung migration tool, accomplish the same thing?
  11. Any reason why the core i5 9600k isn't mentioned? I recently bought one, hope I didn't wastey money.
  12. I recently broke my old Logitech G35 headset and I'm looking to buy a new headset. I figured I'd do some research and see if there's any alternatives before I get another G35. Also been looking at the Logitech G933, so I'd be interested on hearing from anyone who's got one. So basically what I'm looking for in the headset is: - must be an integrated microphone (I know people will suggest a headphone + seperate mic, but that's not what I am looking for) - must be over-ear and comfortable for long hours of use at a time - it will mainly be used for gaming, discord/skype, and listening to music/watching Youtube - microphone must be easily mutable from the headset, not inline controls - I'd prefer the microphone to be lower-able/raise-able similar to the G35, but not a necessity - looking to spend between $250-$350AUD ($190-$270USD), but anything slightly above might be doable too - I live in Australia if that makes any difference Thanks for your help. Shaak.
