  1. downloading stuff from Steam is dependent on your internet connection not your SSD Speed, the SSD comes in when its time to install and unpack the files how fast is your internet connection?
  2. I'm experiencing a strange issue with my router and I'm unsure if my laptop or the router itself is at fault. I have a 1gb Fiber connection and when I perform a speed test using a cable, I get around 920mbps download and upload speed, which is normal. However, whenever I use Wifi6E, my download speed is stuck at 400mbps, while the upload speed is 900mbps on the first try. After running another test immediately, the download speed goes up to 900mbps, along with the upload speed. I find it weird that the router is throttling the connection to 400mbps unless I actively use it. Previously, I had a 600mbps fiber connection on the same router and used to get the full speed via Wifi6E at all times. I'm not sure what happened since then. Moreover, my wifi5 and 2.4 speeds are stuck at 100mbps down and up, and the range seems to have worsened than before. i tried doing the following - Factory reset the router - update the firmware - downgrade the firmware and update it again im using an Asus ROG G16 2023 laptop with Wifi6E for testing the speeds
  3. i have the Asus ROG M16 2023 (4070/13900H) and at first Nvidia Advanced Optimus worked like a charm, automatically switching between the DGPU and IGPU when needed but ever since the time i used an external monitor it stopped automatically switching between the DGPU and IGPU while using the Laptop monitor i plugged the external monitor via HDMI 2.1 port which is connected to the DGPU directly now whenever i run a game, the game RUNS on the DGPU but the display isnt being switched to the DGPU, it still runs on the IGPU and here is a list of things i tried in an attempt to fix it. uninstalled and reinstalled Armoury Crate uninstalled graphics driver and installed them again (Nvidia/intel) i tried with multiple games and still the same issue any thoughts about this? its annoying that i have to resort to manually switching display modes (DGPU/IGPU) from Nvidia Control Panel every time i want to play a game
  4. I placed an order on an Asus G16 Strix with an RTX 4070 and an i9-13980hx with a QHD monitor sold by Amazon Does anyone know How long does it normally take Amazon to process the order ? It's been over a week since my first order and still no shipping yet and when I contacted them they said they're sourcing it from fulfillment center however it was in Stock when i placed the order After a week I cancelled that order and placed another one for the same laptop and it was clearly in stock as well, this time I activated Prime membership and so far still nothing, I got order confirmation by email for both orders but no word about shipping and they didn't charge me for the laptop yet Also I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for the topic
  5. I moved it around a couple of times as recently as last week and I did open the box to check it out once but since then I haven't opened the box and it's still as it shipped out from amazon
  6. I'm pretty sure you can remap it to any other key using the accompanying software of your keyboard (assuming your keyboard supports it)
  7. Greetings fellow tech folks I bought an EK AIO 360 Elite around one year ago and it's still sitting in it's box unopened Is there a particular shelf life for these things ? Will the coolant be okay or is it going to suffer from staying like this ?
  8. i think you guys were right about this point, i just installed AS SSD benchmark and i dont really know how it compares to CrystalDiskMark in terms of the data reading but its showing proper numbers in terms on write speed in Mb
  9. How do i check if Write caching is enabled or not ?
  10. Only using Curve Optimizer and DOCP on the memory with everything else being stock
  11. Sorry for the late reply but i tried this and it showed that the last time it was done was in december of 2022, and after optimizing the device now it gets an improvement but nowhere near what it should be
  12. Can you give instructions on how to do it ?
  13. I bought this Kingston Renegade Fury NVME PCIE 4.0 SSD in November of 2021, and it's still using the same install of windows and no errors on Smart in it and health says 99% and only written 10TB so far while it's specifications say write endurance is 1000TBW This is a CrystalDiskMark run I did last year sometime in July And this is a run in CrystalDiskMark Today This is the platform I'm on CPU : Ryzen 7 - 5800x Mobo : Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wifi Rev 1.1 RAM : 32gb of Corsair Vengeance RGB pro DDR4 3200mhz GPU : RTX 3060 (MSI) OS : Windows 11 Pro and up to date I tried doing the following - reseating the NVME Drive - tried it in a different M.2 Slot - tried it in Safe Mode - Scanned for malwares and updated chipset drivers and bios to latest version available (37c) The SSD never went over 75% of capacity and I have included these images from Kingston own software Does this mean my SSD is prematurely dying? Or is something wrong ?
  14. weird i tried it on my current rig and it detected both partitions in the BIOS and i just select which one to boot from
  15. it is using USB flash drive and its pretty straight forward to partition the flash drive and then its easy to do the rest from there with media creation tool i have a 64gb flash drive so i partitioned it as 10gb for windows 10 via media creation tool and 10gb for windows 11 via media creation tool and 44gb partition for my regular use
