  1. so I'm from a time from way before ARGB. I ordered and half installed a Water Cooling setup for my son - the GameMax IceChill 240 (https://www.alza.hu/gamemax-icechill-240-d5756764.htm) in the process, I discovered that the motherboard he has (MSI B85M-G43) doesnt have aRGB connector on it. So now the thing is working, cooling the PC but the LED RGB stuff is off. So I ordered him an GameMax PWM + ARGB HUB V2.0 -- and what confuses me now, is how can we control the animations on the watercooling set from his computer? How do you hook this thing up to talk to the motherboard? Or the PC? Thanks!
  2. My gaming machine started throwing white screen error when I started fortnite and played for 5-10 minutes. I reinstalled Windows 10, thinking it was something to do with the driver or windows. The problem still persisted, so I swapped out the card for my other video card, and no issues since then. A visual inspection of the RX570 yielded no blown capacitors, or anything noticeable visually. My question is, how can I diagnose/find the problem with the graphics card? How do I decide if it's really dead or potentially fixable? Thank you
  3. I downloaded Microsoft Safety Scanner, and it found win32/tiggre!rfn on my system. Now i'm a bit worried there might be others. Which is the most effective way to ensure i am malware/virus free? Which virus scanner, or tool(s) should I use? Thanks a lot
  4. Just an update, received my side glass panel from NZXT. Ever since I put it back into place, my PSU FAN doesnt goto 100% randomly anymore. PSU was placed at the bottom of the case, not on the top in H700 case. I believe the lack of air circulation without the side panel caused the PSU to panic and goto 100% when the load increased to make sure it doesn't burn down just as a safety measure. Could be wrong, but the issue went away after i put the new, replacement side panel back on.
  5. Thanks, I used this tool https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm It helped me find better DNS than 1.1.1.1 (that one actually turned out slow) thanks a lot!!
  6. I am on a 1gigabit up, 500mbps down internet connection. I have a Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12-Core Processor with 64gb ram.. all SSD drives DNS is set to 1.1.1.1 chrome is a POS, what are some tweaks that i could do to speed it up and make it super snappy? thank you guys
  7. here you go what's very odd is that the fans goto 100% however it doesnt show them going to 100% -- and also the temperature doesn't jump much, when the fans go bezerk and jump to 100%
  8. Thanks, I implemented a software based optimization setting tied to CPU temp for the fans and added +2c hysteresis. Sadly No Dice, it still spins up when I launch photoshop - fans to 100% super loud, then it goes back to normal. What should I test next?
  9. fans are hooked up to the motherboard, i have water cooling system on the cpu block.. looking at Argus Monitor, my SMBUS spikes always when i start chrome browser, photoshop, or some random app, the fans get really loud for 1-2 seconds, then go back to normal.. motherboard: X399 SLI PLUS (MS-7B09) (SP3r2) cpu: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12-Core Processor
  10. Yesterday after upgrading my graphics card, I dropped the side glass door and it shattered into a million pieces. I noticed something strange, every since this happened, my case fan randomly spins up really loud, for like a second, then slows back down and goes quiet for a few minutes, then again spins up and goes quiet. My computer is water cooled so it's not the CPU fan, rather than one of the many case fans. How to fix this? Thanks
  11. Hi Guys, I am just worried about VM footprints on the web being 'headless'. Heard that there's a way not to be 'headless' in VMs, but I am unsure how. We are using VM's to manage multiple advertising accounts for our clients, to keep them separated so their employees can access it easily using remote desktop. Thanks
  12. I'm looking for a solution to VM that will display video/graphics card in the footprint, and not look headless. If I'm not mistaken, Linus mentioned a VirtualBox/VMware alternative that does this? Thank you.. Sorry if I posted in the wrong section.
