Hey, so I was wondering if I could put a 1x8 stick of DDR3L ram in my build that already has 2x4 DDR3L ram in it. They are both 1600mhz. Will it work? Also, my motherboard is a H170 plus D3 if that matters.

Alright well, it may seem like a really dumb question but do you think it could? I have had an i3-6100 for a while now and I am thinking of upgrading and I don't really want to buy another cooler. I assume that the answer is no....
