UPDATE: so apparently there was an issue with my PSU after all, after swapping it out for the PSU from my old rig it booted up and worked properly.

Gigabyte Z170 X gaming 3 motherboard (was Asus Z170-E)
MSI Armor OC GTX 1080 (swapped for R9 280 then swapped back after testing)
Samsung 850 evo 250 gig ssd
Seagate Barracuda 1TB and Western Digital Caviar blue 2TB HDD
EVGA 650 P2 psu TP-Link Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter (TL-WDN4800)
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
so for the past couple of months my pc has been shutting down after a bit of use, straight to black screen, and then going into a seemingly infinite turn on/turn off pattern, I've tried replacing everything except for the ram (I did try only using only 1 stick at a time) and PSU (tested the psu using this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005UZHB6G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 PSU is working properly according to my results ) I have tried re installing windows and de-fragmenting my drives, I have tried turning it off and on again, I even tried using my pc in a different room of my house. Using Speccy to monitor temps the cpu idles at 24C and the gpu hovers around 40C. I would appreciate any and all help thank you.
Sorry for iphone camera quality, and the mess.
