Most of the 2933 and up are OC'd. Ryzen works very well withRAM based on the Samsung di. Trident Z is one of those. Hope that helps a bit.

I cannot find that "Wallpaper" TV on Amazon. Lots of big 4k oled's, but there is definitely a bezel, unless that is the sound bar at the bottom. Unless it's only (heh, only) $4,996.99 usd for a 65" then I'm getting the wrong link results.

crzyces reacted to DocSwag in DDR5-2018?
They're referring to base speed, as I believe ddr3 launched at 1066 MHz and ddr4 at 2133. So ddr4 is double. Chances are ddr5 will start at 4266 MHz.

But the thing is, was ddr4 considered double ddr3 at launch? No, because by then ddr3 was selling at 1600-2400 MHz, and ddr4 only at 2133-3000 MHz, so in the end it was more like a 25-50% increase.

My guess is by the time ddr5 is available in systems, most ddr4 will be between 3000 and 4000 something MHz, so even then it won't be double.

Tech side. A friend could not get his computer to start after adding RAM. So I take a peak. He had SDRAM Elastic Banding the SD sticks 1/3rd in, 1/3 kinda in, 1/3 just out of the DDR 2 slots. His words as I gaped at it? "It doesn't seem to fit right, can you get it in?" I felt like I was 13 again talking to my girlfriend.

I love Pizza. It's up there with chicken caesar salad, home made chile' (So simple, so healthy, so cheap to make), coney Island Hot Dogs, Tacos, and pasta with Grand Ma's meatballs cooked in the sauce. Yum.

Chicago is cool (the bus station sucks though). I only had pizza there 3 times (I've only been there a total of maybe 10 days/nights of my life). A friend made me go to Spacca Napoli. Decent thin crust for Chicago, but I recommend further east for real thin crust. I did have the 2nd best thick crust pizza I'd ever had in Chicago. Gino's east I believe it was called? I'm not a fan of Chicago as a city. I've been 3 times and physically fought twice.  Not cool. Plus, you can't turn on red lights, and people wait for the "walk" signal" to cross the street. Weird.

Papa Gino only has about 150 locations (They just started franchising about 7 years ago, and the cost is outlandish, as are the standards the franchises are held too. ei If you do not make the dough from scratch at the restaurant, it has to be delivered within 24 hours, and served within 24 hours upon reception., so they haven't sold out yet (Quality and taste wise). Their pizza is still the same as it was when I was 9 years old going there after the movies. Like you have to get a "Po Boy" if you visit New Orleans, you have to try a classic thin crust cheese pizza from Papa Gino if you are in the North East US (I think they tossed one in NC and a couple in Florida as well, or are in the process of, but though they are owned by Pepsi now, they are still run mom and pop style, so I'm not sure how it will catch on. They're more expensive than Domino, a little cheaper than Pizza Hut and Papa John, but it'll still run ya $11.99 usd + tax for a large cheese. Again, if you visit MA, RI, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, NY, or Jersey, you have to try them. Their deep dish is good as well. The sauce makes it though, not the whole package.

If you make it further to the eastern US, hit up Cape Cod. There is a Pizza place about 15 minutes west of the islands in a small town that is really a ghetto city besides a few streets called Norton. Travelli's Pizza is insanely good. No great. Rating the Pizza I've had across the country, it is the best all around. Papa Gino takes the best chain in my book, and is way up their on the overall list, as is Piezoni's (Very small franchise), but Travelli's is the bomb. Peple drive from Manhattan and Chicago for their Deep Dish. If you drive 11 hours for pizza, in a town celebrated for their pizza, well that says something. It is that good.

I'm going to Sacramento for a fitness camp at the end of June. If anyone around that part of Cali has any recommendations for good restaurants, i am all ears. I've only been to Sacramento, all for Bodytribe Fitness Camps, and they are into the sushi/fake meat food, and that's not me, so I had a tough time finding places that weren't chains that served edible food. If they serve Tofu or Sushi, I won't enjoy the place. It's been tried and tested. To do Sushi and Tofu you need to be a certain kind of chef. They don't make food I enjoy, even if they try (Please don't be a "But you haven't tried it here" type. 10+ samples of 4 and 5 * restaurants are enough money wasted for me. I don't like those types of chefs, even if they are trying for a Ribeye).

Enough food talk. I am going to call it a day, grab a... what is this...it has a disk drive (floppy) and a 40x cd (non writable...) to fix at home while whipping up a pan of lasagna (with real 15% fat ground beef, lots of ricotta cheese mixed with an egg, the fattiest Mozzarella I can find; but I will use fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, and sea salt for the sauce along with high fiber stone ground pasta ;^) . See, kinda healthy in a "Who cares, this tastes great" way. 1750 or so calories per plate without garlic bread. Emm emm...Wow I am starving now.

crzyces got a reaction from PatrickK in Can you clean my pc components in water/soak in water?
    @workstationguy
    1. What would possess you to want to use water? If you really have no access to isopropyl alcohol, I could see using a dmp q-tip with warm water on the PSU fan if you are nervous about taking it apart (Your psu should not be dirty inside as it pretty much just blows out, very little dust gets inside. Besides wiping it down to shine it up, I don't think I have ever felt the need to clean it's interior.

    2. Is it that difficult to clean fan blades and heatsinks with a q-tip and compressed air (or just blow with your lips pressed together through each space to get rid of the dust.

    3. Just don't, unless you plan on never using the pc again. If it's an experiment, sure, go for it. If, after a month, you may need it again, then no.

    4. I still think you are just trolling.

crzyces got a reaction from Zando_ in should I wait for rx vega
IDK, if the commercial line drops late June, then the consumer line probably won't come out until August. If the OP has something they are cool with getting by with while they wait, then by all means, hold off. If not, then grab a $339-$365 GTX 1070 and call it a wrap. The worst that can happen is Vega is a little faster and a litle cheaper, though most places are speculating the low end is similar to the 1070 (not better or worse, similar? Stupid) and will cost $399 (even Dumber) where-as the Nova or whatever will be faster than the 1080 for $450, and the Eclypse model will be faster than the ti for $599, so, if I was in GTX 1070 limbo, I'd probably just grab it. If I could scrounge up a little more money, I'd wait and get the Vega GTX 1080 competitor. I'd be pissed if the 1070 competitor came out at $399, as the 1070 would jump back up in price.

If you follow the whole thread the budget is stretched to breaking at $500. I have it at $501 with 16 GB of RAM and a 1050ti and a 430 watt psu. The 470/570 puts him about $40 over budget, even at 8 GB RAM and with the 430 Watt and not the 500 Watt PSU. Trust me, if if I could squeeze one in without sacrificing something already sacrificed somewhere else, I would. The 1050ti will get the job done for now, and is an easy enough flip (sell) and switch to a better gpu later on.

You don't want to OC much in a mini ATX anyway unless you are squeezing a watercooler in or are good with custom air builds and mods (*cough* like my Peltier/old pentium 4 fan air conditioned box solution *cough*) where you are drilling and mounting extra fans in various places.

The clock speed difference between the two models is not going to make much of a difference. If you are looking for over 60 fps in all your games then the 1050ti is the wrong card. Even the rx 580 dips below 60 in the Witcher 3 and ME:A quite often at high settings with hair works off at 1080p, and that is pretty much the strongest under $300 usd you can buy at the moment. You might average 60, but you will drop below it sometimes. Unless you are running a 1070 or better, it's just a fact of life in some games.
