  1. I recently picked up a Dell Optiplex 9020 off a buy/sell site, and it seems like its been scavenged for some parts, like the ambient temperature sensor from the front panel. I've had a look on the web, and I've found a couple of sensors that might work: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Genuine-Dell-Optiplex-960-Thermal-Sensor-PN-R434D/202051771136?hash=item2f0b395b00:g:kycAAOSwHm5ZtQYp This one is the cheapest I've found, and looks like it has the same connectors as the more expensive one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-7020-9020-XE2-MT-T1600-Thermal-Sensor-and-Cable-N5G78-0N5G78/272921671904?hash=item3f8b6638e0:g:w8MAAOSwr8xaAvXq The more expensive one, apparently for the 9020. So my question is, does it really matter which one I go for? Will they both function the same in the PC, or will I have to get the specific one for my model? I don't see why the cheaper sensor, that has exactly the same connectors WOULDN'T work, but let me know Thanks guys!
  2. definitely agree, the regular pads are thin and... less than comfortable. @joem2201plays even ebay knockoff pads would probably be better if you don't really want to spend an extra $50AU, but I'd still go with the brainwavz ones.
  3. when you say the temp is fine, it could mean your clocks are decreasing to keep the card cool. check (or install) msi afterburner and see if the clocks change much
  4. @BenR31415 Wow, that really is a great price. Response time isn't the absolute lowest, but you haven't noticed any ghosting or anything like that? Also, have you tested the FreeSync?
  5. well sjw's are a waste of time, aren't they?
  6. Something like 850w would probably be fine, but if you already have a 1000w PSU, I don't see a reason to swap now
  7. Hahaha, I'm from Australia, its only 9am here... I've got the XFX GTR Non-Reference 480 - it's got a pretty good cooler and overclocks fairly well from what i've heard one of the monitors im looking at here is 75hz and has a freesync range of 40-75hz I believe
  8. Hi guys, I bought a RX480 recently and I'm now in the market for a new monitor.I've been having a look online and on umart.com.au there's this monitor, which is a 1440p 60hz VA panel, which I've heard is pretty decent and also this one, which is a 1080p 144hz that is excellent, according to the reviews online. FreeSync is a big priority, and I'm open to other suggestions (how are those cheap 1080p 75hz Freesync monitors?).Thanks for your help! (and hey guys, this is my first post... I should be back regularly - this is a great forum!)
