As per the GDPR, someone's IP is their personal information. To acquire personal information, you need explicit consent that you're gathering information.
I am just guessing you did not ask for their permission, which means you are in violation of the GDPR when logging their IP.

I can't find a definitive yes/no answer on this so I can't say if it's legal or illegal but honestly, I don't see the point in it in the first place.

Exactly. In fact, it's not just Corsair. Most PSUs are made in China from Chinese and sometimes Taiwanese parts. Apart from that, they're all made in Taiwan (except for a few PSUs like the Cooler Master MIJ).
Same goes for basically every other computer part. They're mostly made in China now. The rest are made in Taiwan.
Made in China =/= bad product

Having so-called "lower tier" caps is a nonissue at best, especially if given a relatively non-vital role, as is the case here.

Technically, almost all Corsair power supplies are entirely Chinese sourced... Chinese doesn't mean bad quality.

Nichicon is just a brand. ASUS is also reputed as high quality, yet i have had many issues with their products. branding doesn't mean jack shit

RM is better, but the RMx would be even better.

Making a bendable phone before it was cool (6s)

Quoting ridiculous prices to fix working electronics that only need a bit of cleaning.

You can not give him a admin accounts, removes most of the big issues he could cause.

This will block malware and adult sites, so the teen won't be able to visit those "sites" and get infected with some viruses. They will hate you for that, most likely, but hey, at least the PC will be safe. 🤷‍♂️😂

Opinel make really great knives.

I'd love to get a carbone one and do a patina on it... Also would love to get another maxamet or higher carbon percentage blade and do a patina... Spyderco knives are a great bang for the buck too. I paid $110 for mine, s30v solid metal liners with G10 and the ball bearing lock...

I bought an Opinel N°08 Carbon about 2 weeks ago.
First impressions: It's brilliant. It's a really high quality knife and it's just a pleasure to use. When I use it I forget I paid just £8.60 for it because it feels like I should've paid at least £30 for this, if not more. It's all metal and wood, no plastic anywhere. If you're looking for an affordable knife, I'd recommend it.
Also, I bought a Pentium 4 PC (it's a prebuilt, nothing particularly special). I'll edit this post once it arrives tomorrow, as I'll have pictures then. I'll also add a picture of the Opinel tomorrow.
