  1. This thread is quite old, but maybe someone might find this helpful in the Future: There actually exist Modules like that, which work pretty well, a little pricey though.
  2. I definitlely wouldn't recommend usigng the Third Party repair Shops
  3. You will have to break the "Warranty Void if Removed" Sticker to open up the laptop to switch the SSD. Honestly, I would just do it myself. If you have a little experience in Hardware it will be no problem. Bringing it to Acer would be a waste of money (in my Opinion)
  4. No, since Intel decided to change the Pin-out on their processors, as well as theirr firmware.
  5. On my Asus Strix 1070ti, the fans aren't kicking in until 55°C. So that value is totally normal for factory curve.
  6. Thanks for all the answers guys! A little smarter everyday ?
  7. It didn't work anymore so I just thought to my self "why not :D" and opened it
  8. Hi, I just opend my HDD (don't ask why) and I found this weird little white cushion. Does anyone know what what this thing thing is for?
  9. Try to unplug all of your monitors except the "broken" one. Then try reinstalling the driver. I had the same issue once. I have three monitors and I can't ubpdate the graphics driver with more than two plugged in. If I do my system just Bluescreens...
  10. Also, I don't think that the monitor is the problem, to me it sounds like a weird driver issue from Nvidia. Have you tried completely uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it?
  11. My screen looked like that when I tried to overclock it... Open the Nvidia Control Panel, go to resolution, select your monitor and pick a lower refresh rate - just for testing. That would explain why the OSD is fine while the rest of the monitor isn't...
  12. Im sorry but this simply isn't true. If you don't do stuff with your GPU that it is not made for, which 99% of GPU owners won't do, a GPU can survive an eternity. My dad still uses his "bought as used" gtx 580 and it works perfectly fine, even after almost 8 years of usage. One of my friends is using a "bought as used" GTX 760, my other friend uses also a used GTX 770 and all of them work perfectly fine. I bought a used GTX 1070ti at the beginning of the year and guess what? It works perfectly fine and I can still overclock the sh!t out of it. You are totally right - don't buy used storage unless you really don't care about speed and eventual loss of data (eg. in Test-Systems). But I can't agree with you that one shouldn't buy used GPUs.
  13. You're welcome! Before attempting OC, please check your Temps in Windows with HWinfo or similar programs under load (eg cinebench r15, aida 64 etc)
