@Pascal... Indeed. It's basically a workstation RX550/560. Similar performance to a GT 1030, but it's Polaris arch so will play nice with Linux and macOS if I decide to muck around with those. Also cheaper than a half height 1050 Ti, or its bigger brother the WX4100. ?

@Den-Fi but it's blue and absolutely gorgeous and the finish on that - actual metal - shroud is really damn good and also it's cute aaand only needs PCIe power, and has one full DisplayPort, two mini-DP ports, and this one from Dell comes with  mini-DP to HDMI and mini-DP to full DisplayPort cables.

Mmmm...support for up to 16 GPU accelerated virtual machines via SR-IOV ?...

@Windows7ge this will do that? I got it because it's cheaper than a WX4100 or 1050 Ti half height card, while being Polaris based so it'll play nice with macOS, Linux, and Windows (so I can run whatever OS I want to when tinkering for fun). Haven't looked into its abilities much past that lol.

@WikiForce Only an x8 card apparently lol, it doesn't need the full x16 contacts if it isn't going to use them anyways.

Oh that's interesting. I guess physical x8 slots are still rare.

Kind of odd to see an x8 GPU though...

@Crunchy Dragon it's about equal with a GT1030 or so? So it can't even use the other x8 if they were to bother to make it an x16 card lol.

Very true, still kinda fun though.

@Den-Fi There's the WX4100 which is the same size but faster, it might be an x16 card ?

EDIT: ah shit it's still x8, you'll have to keep intensely lying to yourself ?

According to AMD's website it being based on their MxGPU it will alow you to do that yes. You will need software that can take advantage of it though.
