@TVwazhere yee, they're rare and the non-working one was only $99 as you can see. I figure a) it's a BIOS issue or something (IIRC it has 4 BIOS chips though so you can swap through them all to check) or if it is broken I use it as parts to refurb the working one.
@germgoatz I like the X58 platform a lot and just wanna build something cool for the lols, and if I move to 1440p/4K the CPUs being a bit slower individually (but dual X5690s on this will still beat a 4.25GHz 2700X in multicore when they're stock, I plan to get dual X5675s and OC to 4.5Ghz) won't matter since my 1080 Ti will be the bottleneck. Plus like I said these are pretty rare and $450 is not bad at all. AFAIK they cost $600 new back when they were made, $450 for a working one when they're so rare isn't bad at all, most are asking $700-1000 or so.

@germgoatz Well I'm planning to pay myself back by selling another rig I have. Actually planning to sell basically all my hardware except my other X58 stuff (and my 1080 Ti, unless I decide to sell that and go Radeon VII) to put toward this build. I've accumulated a bunch of stuff over the past couple years I can sell off for a good amount and then I should end up with an awesome showpiece and less hardware cluttering up my room.
