  1. Thanks for the help everyone, i'll be sure to give all these solutions a go!
  2. Hey there folks, I've recently built a new computer, everything has been going fairly well however I'm encountering an ongoing issue. Whenever I put my computer to sleep and return to it after some time I'm disconnected from the internet (Wired/Ethernet), I then have to restart my computer in order to reconnect to the internet. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the cable as well as disabling and reenabling the adapter. I am using an ASUS ROG Strix B550-E Motherboard, if there is any other info i can provide please tell me. Cheers
  3. Hey Everyone! I'm seeking some advice on an odd situation i'm regarding my use of headphones that is making it frustratingly difficult to find a viable headset option. I have slight hearing loss in my left ear (roughly 20dB above 0) meaning that when i wear headphones normally audio in games sounds "flipped". What i mean is that if someone is on my left i will hear it as if the sound is coming from the right, i presume this is because the right earcup is emitting some quieter sound than the left but since my right ear hears better it is almost as loud as it is on the left. Up until now i've used headsets that have reversible microphones (Astro A40s) so i can flip the headset around (Right earcup on the left ear and left earcup on the right ear) that has largely solved the issue and allowed me to play games normally. Unfortunately my A40s are starting to show their age so i'm looking for a replacement. My issue is that i cannot find another modern gaming headset that allows me to flip the mic so i can reverse the headset's orientation, do you guys have any suggestions? If not are there any software tools that would allow to increase the audio on one side? (Please note i have tried to do this in Windows sound balance before but unfortunately i can't raise one side higher than 100%) I do apologize if i've explained this poorly, any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thanks for the reply! I've been wondering if i should wait for the 4000 series, but i have been really eager to build for a long time. I'm certainly not averse to waiting since i waited for the 30 series GPUs but i'm not sure i'm going to see a considerable performance increase with the Zen 3 CPUs.
  5. Budget (including currency): 4000 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: High AAA titles with Ray Tracing etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey there everyone! I was hoping for advice on an upcoming PC build, I will be primarily be using it for 1440p gaming with a 165Hz monitor as well as photo editing. Please note I intend to put an ASUS ROG 3080, I just couldn't include it in the part list for obvious reasons. The current build can be seen below. : I have a few concerns that I was hoping for some thoughts on: The difference between B550-F and X570, will the 3.0 General Purpose Lanes vs the 4.0 Lanes in the X570 make any difference to performance? Are there any notable differences between these boards that I should be aware of that would justify the $100 price increase to a X570 I understand this cannot be truly known until reviews/benchmarks have been released but can I expect the 3700x to bottleneck a 3080? Will I have any issues with fan/RGB control with the available headers on the board and the included RGB Controller in the Corsair Case? Any general thoughts on the build and how i could potentially improve it or save money are also welcome. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  6. WIll do, i was already planning to build with an Ampere card and i was tossing up whether or not it was worth waiting for Ryzen 4000.
  7. I'm happy to receive an feedback on the build, the budget is $4000 Australian Dollars, and will be mainly used for 1440p gaming and photo editing. I will more than likely consider a move to 4K at some point in the future. But just to clarify will their be any performance disadvantage related to choosing the B550 board vs X570?
  8. I was hoping to establish the clear difference between these boards and what features justify the $100 AUD price difference. I understand the X570 board offers support for SLI and has additional USB Ports etc. Is there anything different? I was reading online that the B550 has 3.0 General Purpose Lanes while the X570 has 4.0, I don't really know what that means, unfortunately. Any assistance is appreciated so i can make the right decision. If it helps at all here is the build it will be accompanying including a ASUS RTX 3080
  9. So i had a look at the settings etc and they all seem fine , can you specify what you mean when your talking about the motherboard. Also i was planning on improving the RAM config.
  10. Hey There For the last two years or so i have experienced consistent irritating performance issues with my PC.Specifically when i am playing a game such as Battlefield my card's usage is at 60% and will only go up in non demanding areas such as when i'm looking at the sky , however when i start running through environments , buildings etc the usage drops rather than staying near 100%. Since late 2014 i have purchased a new CPU , Motherboard , Power Supply , and Graphics card all in an attempt to discover what causes my issue and none have fixed i. Also i have ensured it is not a CPU bottleneck , the 4970k is always at approximately 70-80% and the temps for both the GPU and CPU never go above 80 degrees. My Current Specs are Motherboard: Asus Maximum VI Hero CPU: i7 4790k , OC'd to 4.6 GPU: GTX 1080 G1 Gaming PSU: SILVERSTONE ST85F-P 850W Memory: 1x 8GB DDR3 Ripjaws 2133MHZ , 2X Kingston 1333MHZ 4GB Stick OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit I really need help with this , it is so goddamn annoying. Thanks
