  1. Is the graphics card overclocked? You didn't clarify whether or not it was, that sounds like it would be the issue or at least part of it. Either way, I would suggest down-clocking it incrementally until it stops. If that fixes it and you weren't massively overclocking, I would suggest submitting a warranty request if it's still within its warranty period.
  2. As far as I know yes. The search bar is your friend: http://lmgtfy.com/?iie=1&q=How+to+remove+membrane+keycaps+linus+tech+tips+forum
  3. I am sorry that I am asking this but are you confident that everything is plugged in? Check the monitor, outputs on the card, see if the power supply cables are connected, etc.
  4. This is a bit over but it should be decent. 5. If that's the case I would recommend getting an SSD you can get them relatively cheap now days. They're in my opinion, required in a computer now days.
  6. I mean, it's probably fine but you could do much better if you are willing to buy used. You can get an RX 550 for about $70 on eBay
  7. Well, that rules that out, the only other thing I can think of is you having it installed on something dumb like a thumb drive
  8. How much RAM do you have and what is it installed on? Edit: What is the game installed on. Also in addition to the amount of RAM how many sticks of RAM do you have?
  9. Honestly I would go with a 1700x since you can get them for about the same price plus 2 additional cores.
  10. The noise when you are shaking it sounds like it is the read/write head moving, I wouldn't recommend shaking a mechanical hard drive unless you are sure it is dead. Have you checked to see if the SATA data cable is plugged all the way in to the motherboard as well as the HDD?
  11. I had this happen with my Ryzen build a while back and narrowed it down to windows updating, that may not apply here since it sounds like you've had it built for a while but that's my two cents.
  12. Your monitor will never run at 500 FPS let alone 1000 FPS but I think I have a solution. Right click on the .exe file or shortcut to open it and select run with graphics processor or use graphics processor (I don't remember what it says) then choose your 1050ti. To set a default GPU check out this guide: https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/
  13. I know it's beta just came out today but I am trying to render a video at 1080p using the YouTube preset yet every time I try to render the video it fails and says failed to encode video frame. Any suggestions?
  14. Here is a picture it looks like it is a 6 pin but I can confirm that it is a 4 pin
  15. I was looking in my case 5 minutes ago and saw that only two pins are plugged into my CPU power on my motherboard. My first reaction was how the hell is this computer still functioning. So I checked task manager to make sure that all cores were responding, they were. I then used Furmark's CPU burner and ran it. Nothing happened no crashes or anything. I have an Intel core i5 6600k in a gigabyte h110-ma. So far I have yet to find anything that is not reporting or responding in general. Is this damaging to my CPU or other computer parts and should I rush to fix this or investigate this more? Edit: The CPU has been like this for a month and a half and I have noticed no problems
  16. I have had friends tell me its best to shut off the power supply after shutting down the PC
  17. When i turn my PC off i shut it down and turn off the power supply. But recently after adding an ssd and another hard drive i have had an issue with it turning off. First i will power on the switch then i press the power button the computer briefly turns on Fans And Graphics Card Lights As Well As the power led then Poof it looses power. Then i press it again and it turns on and works just fine with no stability problems under full load. Is this a power supply problem or something else? Specs: 6600K Non Overclocked Gigabyte Xtreme gaming 1060 3gb Slight Overclock 8Gb of Hyper FuryX H110-MA Mother board 1Tb WD, 2Tb Barracuda And a 128gb SSD And a 450 watt Bronze PSU from EVGA
  18. He Just Got It To Turn On With This Message 1927 <---- Picture sent from him on my phone for some reason called 1927
  19. Yeah and he has a weird config 2 1gb sticks and a 2gb stick the one that died was also a 2gb
  20. I know but what if a 3.5 inch version all of the sudden came out
  21. Agreed while he checked to see if the ram was in the slot he lost a stick of ram at about the same time he got his graphics card. I will have him try.
  22. the ssd pretty much just has to be 2.5 inches and you should be fine
