  1. If someone has a trident 3 can you help me access the M.2 drive It wont open the to the back of the mobo for me
  2. Well I fixed the problem someone on the LTT discord pointed me in the right direction. I got a USB Switch and it does the job nicely
  3. So I am trying to make a usb connection to a Razer Thresher. I can connect it straight up from each device using usb cables thats fine. But i had the idea that I could use a USB hub with individual power switches to connect it to several devices and be able to switch between them, however it did not work.
  4. Yes that is some good infos there! I dont know what all those things are but I can look it up.
  5. Yes I am trying to avoid that line of questioning because I have previously asked it. I am simply looking for information about CPUs in general and the benefits they bring other then speed and value. So far we have PCIe lanes and ECC memory for AMD. I wonder if there is anything else to consider.
  6. Alright so Ryzen Threadripper has more PCIe lanes and supports ECC memory. Is there anything else?
  7. Sorry I must have worded my question wrong. Im looking at the "other" benefits besides speed and value.
  8. Regardless of price or value. Which CPU would bring the most side benefits like PCIe Lanes and other stuffs and what are those benefits.? thanks
  9. Guys its not so much about the processor as the motherboard. I want the latest motherboard with the most expansion slots possible. It just happens that the x299 boards have the most going for them imo. That was the basis for my thinking.
  10. Ive been looking at motherboards and yes while they are all very similar, there are "features" that make a difference. These include, Number of pcie slots, ram slots, storage slots such as m.2, IO options. Other factors include size, atx or e-atx or other. Also think about build quality, manufacturer reputation, customer service.
  11. So I have been reading and watching linus videos and one thing comes to mind about the difference between 1151 which is the recomended 8700k socket (I already mentioned that there is no upgrading that right now) and the 2066, is the actual socket can deliver more power to the cpu as the socket number represents the number or connections. To me this means that in future the 2066 will far out perform the 1151. So for me this means that it is more future proof. For now I am going to wait for the new Nvidia GPUs and see what they bring to the table. Thanks all for your contributions.
  12. So your saying I should wait ? @Stefan Payne Also your right I dont know all the facts thats why im on here. Why should I overclock? seems like a risk to me. @DildorTheDecent But everyone is saying get 1151 and z370 which doesnt even support i9 or 44 pcie lanes.
  13. please stay on topic if you feel like bashing then take it to pm mate
  14. I know the i7 7800x is not the greatest but it will allow me an i9 later currently there are no i9 on the 1151 socket and will there ever be ?
