  1. So i am upgrading my cpu, motherboard cooler and ram, but keeping my current case. Im not really knowledgeable about all computer parts so wondering about the fans in the computer (not the cpu cooler). Will I need to replace those fans, or are they generic and will work with the upgraded parts.
  2. I dont have any viruses on my computer, i run scans often
  3. I think my CPU is currently faulty, it seems to be running around 70% most of the time for no reason, and in games im hitting almost 100%. So thats basically the reason for the upgrade
  4. I am planning on saving for a few months and getting a 1070,
  5. Processor (CPU) Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-3550 (3.3GHz) 6MB Cache Motherboard ASUS® P8Z77-V: PCI-E 3.0 READY, WIFI, SLI, CROSSFIREX Memory (RAM) 8GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 4GB) Graphics Card 2GB NVIDIA GTX 670 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready
  6. So I am upgrading my computer, not replacing everything, just a few parts. Keeping my gtx 670 for just now. So was just looking for some opinions on if my selected parts seem good. If you could give me some opinions, would be greatly appreciated https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/nmT42R
  7. Is the asrock one a good make. I've never heard of it before

  9. ah ok, thats what I thought. So I should be ok with ram like this https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JW4NnQ/crucial-memory-ct2k8g4dfs8213
  10. Do you actually need RAM with heatsinks, or is it just basically for looks?
  11. Ok, thanks a lot, ill pick one of these then. Thanks again to everyone who answered
  12. case : MAELSTROM T900 BLACK GAMING CASE I am going to be changing the RAM too, I was either looking at Crucial 16gb DDR-4 2133 or G.Skill ripjaws v series DDR-2400 (Leaning more to the crucial one for the price, but in reviews people seem to be complaining that there is no heatsink, which i thought was just for looks mainly in relation to RAM)
  13. Just something to keep my CPU cool really. I dont really know much about coolers.
  14. Yeah i was thinking about the size there, looks quite large, and i have a large mounted case fan attached that it may hit off, need to try check measurements etc
