  1. Hello everyone, I recently got a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB with a heatsink and encountered some issues. Here's a rundown of the events: 1. Installed the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB with heatsink without any hitches. 2. Computer failed to POST; troubleshooting involved removing all USB devices with no success. 3. Only successful POST occurred after removing the newly installed 990 Pro NVMe SSD. 4. Into the BIOS, reinserted the SSD, and successfully POSTed again with the 990 Pro inserted after reboot from BIOS. 5. Windows installation initiated, but during the reboot process, the system hung and failed to POST. 6. Seeking assistance at Memory Express, they were unable to read the NVMe on their test machine, indicating it was recognized as dead. 7. Received a replacement from Memory Express, but now the same boot loop issue persisted. 8. Boot loop and random POSTs occurred after approximately 5 minutes, with LEDs on the motherboard indicating continuous looping. Any insights or experiences with this issue? I also have another NVMe drive that works flawlessly; the intention was to upgrade, but I'm currently facing persistent problems with the Samsung 990 Pro. Disappointed and seeking advice. Edit: Forgot to mention I updated my BIOS to the latest version. I checked on Samsung Magician and the drive was latest firmware as well. Mother board is ASUS x570 TUF Gaming (Wifi)
  2. Excellent Choice. Sir, I suggest you go for it. Lan-cool mesh is badass.
  3. ez clap if u get into bios usually means CPU, mobo and PSU is good. troubleshoot see which ram is dead. my first build had 2 dead sticks. as long as u keep booting into bios the added parts should be good. good luck
  4. You already went through a lot already. I am sorry to hear your PC isn't booting. Is this CPU an APU, can you test by plugging in only the cpu, hdmi into mobo and power supply and try booting into BIOS. (with just 1 stick in slot 1b?)
  5. I checked and this was already enabled. It still asks me for a password and doesn't automatically sign in...
  6. I have a small 8 bay server that crashes sometimes every 7~9 days. The problem is after it automatically reboots it stalls at login screen, awaiting user to input password. I tried adding netplwiz change but that doesn't work. It used to work when I didn't have the computer associated to a Microsoft Account. Since I need to use Remote Desktop I had to add an account. Now it always awaits user password... Is there a way I can get by this issue?
  7. I was thinking if I had really had to buy the fittings I would buy the distro plate too because shipping was extremely expensive. Is the distro plate worth it? Will it run better than my 4 year old pump res? I am also uncertain of the outer diameter of the fitting... What if I run into the same problem...? Is the fittings 28mm too high or not?
  8. I am having an issue where my fitting is too thick, not enough clearance, it hits the fan and I can turn the CAP anymore.(right side of fitting in the picture) I am using Hardline fittings. Here are the pics: It shows precisely why I cant put the cap on. This is exactly the amount of space I have. This is what I am thinking of using to solve this issue... The total is 700$, is there another way to go about this? Here is how my build looks right now: What should I do, don't really wanna spend that much money and don't want to cut anything..?
  9. I bought the samsung for 600$ and the ADATA one for 270$ Canadian. Is my samsung now deffective or is this because of storage space?
  10. If you wait, it will start playing the video. I think they hard added the AD time... For me it shows up as an error in grey and then plays after the ad should've been skippable.
  11. That sounds very expensive. Something I may not be able to accomplish.
  12. Looking for a suitable hard drive for my server on windows 10 (this is on my gaming pc). I run this PC 24 hours and 7 days a week. I have 4 users using my machine at any given time. I currently have a 4tb & 8tb seagate barracuda and they're both 90%+full. My budget is around less than 250$ Canadian . I'm not sure if I should go with NAS or keep going with regular hard drives as the current ones have had no problems. 4tb has been 4 years strong and 8tb 1 year strong. Please help me decide the best option for me. edit: One thing is the more I work on the server, the more important it becomes for me. reliability is something i'm starting to care about more and more...... which is what created this unease.. while purchasing my next HDD
